We are recruiting an ambitious Contracts Manager to oversee projects across the South East, taking full accountability for performance, programme and profitability. Key Responsibilities • Take full ownership of projects from pre-start to final account, • Manage 1–3 schemes concurrently, depending on scale, • Deliver projects safely, on time and within agreed margins, • Lead site teams and coordinate subcontractors, • Develop and control construction programmes, • Monitor critical path and implement recovery strategies, • Manage works within live and occupied environments, • Coordinate design, procurement and delivery activities, • Manage JCT, • Identify and control variations, • Oversee cost performance and protect margin, • Support CVR reporting and financial tracking, • Contribute to final account agreement, • Chair and attend client and consultant meetings, • Maintain strong stakeholder communication, • Ensure CDM compliance and uphold health & safety standards, • Drive quality control and close out defects efficiently Candidate Profile • Background within main contracting, • Experience delivering £1m–£10m+ projects, • Exposure to healthcare, education or commercial sectors, • Strong commercial awareness, • Decisive and confident working independently, • Proactive, accountable and calm under pressure
