About the Role This is not a marketing job for someone who wants to sit at arm’s length from delivery. It’s for someone who still enjoys building - shaping messaging, creating high-impact materials, and staying close to the work that drives revenue. This is a seat at the table for someone who wants to help grow a business. This is a board-level position with genuine equity upside, reporting into the founders and a full executive team for support. If you’re ready to stop advising on strategy and start owning it end-to-end - from direction through to delivery - this is the role. Required Skills The right person will have a direct impact on how this business grows over the next five years - and will be rewarded accordingly • Commercially sharp: You link every campaign to a business outcome. Lead gen, pipeline, and revenue aren’t someone else’s problem., • Digitally fluent: CRM, automation, analytics, SEO - you use these to make better decisions, not just tick boxes., • Energetic & driven: You’ve operated at a senior level but remain hands-on - you’re comfortable creating content, not just directing it., • SME-ready: You’ve thrived in a fast-moving, lean environments where ownership is high, structure is evolving, and results matter., • Strategic & creative: Vision and execution aren’t in tension for you - they’re the same muscle., • A natural collaborator: You build alignment across sales, product, and leadership without needing a formal process to get there. Responsibilities • Lead and shape the marketing function - B2B, digital, customer acquisition, and insight-driven campaign strategy - reporting directly to the founding partners., • Design and execute a 5-year marketing strategy that directly supports commercial growth targets and market positioning., • Personally contribute to the creation and refinement of key marketing and sales materials - including pitch decks, campaign messaging, proposals, and thought leadership - ensuring quality, consistency, and commercial impact., • Develop and directly shape compelling product propositions, customer-facing campaigns, and incentive programmes that drive revenue and retention., • Lead, inspire, and grow a team - 2 internal members and 2 specialist contractors - with high-level mentorship, not micromanagement., • Partner with Sales, Commercial, and Product to ensure marketing is embedded in every stage of the business - not siloed from it., • Bring innovation: test new channels, challenge conventions, and bring a creative perspective to every brief., • Own your decisions. You’ll report outcomes and progress to the Board and Founders, but this is a role for someone who leads without waiting to be told., • Champion data and insight: use analytics, CRM, and digital tools to make better decisions and prove commercial impact. Qualifications Experience in energy, utilities, or B2B brokerage is advantageous but not essential.
