We are seeking a skilled and proactive People Partner (HR Business Partner) to join our dynamic team. This part-time position and we are happy to look to accommodate school hours, or other part time work patterns, making it ideal for professionals seeking a work-life balance. (Around 25-28 hours a week) The role will require a solid understanding of employment law and best HR practices, with a good understanding of Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations (TUPE). Main Responsibilities Provide expert HR guidance to partners and department heads, ensuring alignment of people policies and process with business objectives. Employee Relations: Advise managers and staff on all aspects of employee relations, including performance management, disciplinary procedures, grievance handling, and absence management. Policy & Compliance: Ensure HR policies and practices are compliant with current UK employment law, including GDPR requirements. Change Management & TUPE: Support the firm through organisational change, mergers, or acquisitions, supporting TUPE transfers and ensuring employees rights are protected throughout the process. Recruitment & Onboarding: Support recruitment activities, from drafting job descriptions, creating adverts and interviewing to onboarding new team members. Learning & Development: Identify skills gaps and coordinate training and development initiatives to support staff growth and career progression. Wellbeing & Inclusion: Champion wellbeing, diversity, and inclusion initiatives, fostering a supportive and positive workplace culture. Data & Reporting: Support the People Director and wider people and training team, to ensure accurate HR records and provide regular reports to management on key HR metrics. Continuous Improvement: An ability to review projects and processes to identify and raise any improvement areas.Ensuring the function supports the business and are great to work with. Person Specification Qualified HR professional (CIPD Level 5 or above preferred). Demonstrable experience of HR partnering and a strong generalist background. Passion for delivering training on leadership skills, and employment law updates. Solid understanding of TUPE and experience managing TUPE processes in an employment law context. Attention to detail and ability to progress ER cases and projects. Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities within restricted working hours. Discretion and integrity in dealing with confidential information You must have a driving licence and access to a vehicle as this role will require travelling to our office bases as required.
