Let us tell you about all the great reasons to join us here at Yorkshire Water: \n\n • We offer a competitive salary, depending on experience £35,459 - £44,284\n, • Annual incentive related bonus (£1000 maximum bonus opportunity for the performance year)\n, • Attractive pension scheme (up to 12% company contribution)\n, • Development opportunities in line with the Smart Metering Analyst progression plan\n, • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays – plus an extra wellness day!\n, • Life assurance cover of 4 times pensionable salary\n, • A great benefits package – choose from health cash plan scheme, critical illness insurance, dental insurance, life assurance flex and partner cover.\n, • Retail savings scheme\n, • Provide day to day analytical and ad hoc reporting support to the Management Team, responding quickly to insight requests and emerging questions.\n, • Produce and maintain BAU smart metering, leakage, and demand reports, ensuring outputs are accurate, timely, and easy for stakeholders to understand.\n, • Support project delivery by preparing datasets, undertaking analysis, and creating reporting that informs decisions and tracks progress.\n, • Improve and automate existing reports and processes to reduce manual effort, increase efficiency, and enhance data reliability.\n, • Support APR reporting for smart metering (AMI) by preparing required data inputs, validating outputs, and resolving data quality issues.\n, • Carry out data quality checks and work with data and asset teams to identify and resolve issues, improving confidence in reporting.\n, • Work closely with SMEs and delivery teams to translate complex data into simple, practical insight that supports operational action.\n, • Proactively build capability through self development, demonstrate commercial awareness, and comply with all relevant corporate governance requirements.\n\nWhat skills & qualifications you will need:\n\n, • Significant experience working with data and delivering high quality data analysis, ideally within the utilities sector.\n, • Must have previous utilities industry experience, with a strong understanding of operational data, performance metrics, and industry processes.\n, • Advanced skills in Excel, Power BI, and other analytical tools, with the ability to build, interpret, and communicate complex reports.\n, • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, able to turn large datasets into clear, actionable insight.\n, • Experience in reviewing and quality checking the work of others, with the ability to build strong and effective working relationships across teams.\n, • Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical detail in a clear, simple, and engaging way to non technical stakeholders.\n\nYou will also benefit from having:\n\n, • Previous experience gained within the water industry\n, • Previous experience in a regulated environment\n
