About the Opportunity We are supporting the delivery of a major building and infrastructure project in North London and are seeking an experienced QAQC Engineer to join the team. This is a large-scale, technically complex development currently in delivery phase , offering the opportunity to play a key role in a high-profile scheme. The role sits within a global construction company with an established presence across Europe and other international markets, delivering large-scale, complex projects across infrastructure, sports halls, stadiums, residences, commercial, and specialist sectors. This is a significant, high-profile scheme offering the opportunity to contribute to the successful delivery of a landmark project within a dynamic and internationally experienced organisation. This position is offered on a fixed-term contract for a period of 24 months. The Role We are seeking an experienced QAQC Engineer to support and drive quality assurance and quality control across the project. Reporting to the QA/QC Manager, you will ensure that all works are delivered in accordance with project specifications, approved drawings, and applicable standards. This role is critical to maintaining quality compliance across construction activities, ensuring that workmanship, materials, and processes meet the required standards throughout the project lifecycle. Quality management is a core function in major construction projects, underpinning safety, performance, durability, and client satisfaction, and requires rigorous inspection, documentation, and coordination across all disciplines. Key Responsibilities Quality Assurance & Control Implement and monitor the project Quality Management System (QMS) Ensure all works comply with specifications, drawings, and approved method statements Support the development and execution of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) Participate in internal quality audits alongside the project quality team to evaluate and ensure ongoing compliance with the Project Quality Management Plan and ISO 9001 standards Inspection & Site Monitoring Carry out inspections across construction activities, including structural, architectural, and finishing works Verify workmanship, materials, and installations against quality standards Identify defects or non-conformances and ensure timely corrective actions Documentation & Reporting Prepare and maintain inspection reports, checklists, and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) Maintain accurate QA/QC records, including photographic evidence and audit trails Track quality performance and report recurring issues to management Material & Submittal Control Ensure all materials are approved prior to installation through the submittal process Verify compliance of delivered materials with project requirements Liaise with procurement and suppliers on quality documentation Testing, Commissioning & Handover Support testing and commissioning processes to ensure systems meet performance criteria Assist in snagging, final inspections, and handover documentation Ensure all quality documentation is complete for client handover Stakeholder Coordination Work closely with construction teams, subcontractors, consultants, and client representatives Participate in inspections and quality reviews with external stakeholders Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement on site Health, Safety & Compliance Ensure inspections are conducted in line with site safety procedures Support compliance with UK regulations, standards, and project-specific requirements About You Skills & Experience Essential 6-8 of proven experience in a QA/QC role within large-scale construction projects In-depth knowledge of implementing ISO 9001 Quality Management System standards on site. Strong understanding of construction quality standards, inspections, and documentation Experience working with subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams Familiarity with UK building regulations and construction compliance requirements Ability to manage quality processes across multiple work streams Desirable Experience on major infrastructure or stadium projects Familiarity with digital QA/QC systems (e.g., Aconex, Procore) Knowledge of ISO 19650 (BIM Information Management) standards. Understanding of finishing works and complex architectural elements CSCS Card (required for site access) Qualifications Degree or diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor certification. Relevant quality certifications or training (desirable) Working Environment Regular on-site presence required to support coordination, installation, and commissioning activities with some flexibility for hybrid working.
