An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a high-volume manufacturing environment, supporting the reliability and performance of production and plant equipment across a 24/7 operation. Working as part of a skilled engineering team, you will play a key role in minimising downtime, carrying out fault finding, preventative maintenance, and continuous improvement activities. \n Client Details \n Our client is a well-established manufacturer with a strong reputation for quality, innovation, and operational excellence. They are committed to investing in their people, maintaining the highest safety standards, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork. \n Description \n Key Responsibilities: \n \n\n • Diagnose and repair faults across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.\n, • Perform electrical fault finding and diagnostics on Siemens PLC-controlled machinery.\n, • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimise production downtime.\n, • Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities on production and plant equipment.\n, • Support the installation, commissioning, and modification of industrial machinery.\n, • Recommend and implement engineering improvements to enhance equipment reliability and performance.\n, • Maintain accurate engineering records and documentation.\n, • Assist with focused improvement and continuous improvement initiatives.\n, • Work safely in accordance with all Health, Safety and Environmental procedures.\n, • Perform maintenance on 3-phase electrical systems and associated controls.\n, • Contribute positively to a collaborative engineering team environment.\n\n Profile \n The Successful Candidate: \n \n The ideal candidate will be a time-served engineer with a strong electrical maintenance background gained within a manufacturing environment. \n \n Essential Criteria: \n \n\n • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.\n, • Time-served engineering apprenticeship.\n, • Minimum 3 years' experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.\n, • Strong fault-finding skills across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and PLC systems.\n, • Experience working with Siemens PLC-controlled equipment.\n, • Knowledge of planned preventative maintenance processes.\n, • Understanding of industrial machinery installation and commissioning.\n, • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.\n, • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.\n, • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet demanding production targets.\n, • Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.\n\n \n Desirable: \n \n\n • Welding qualification.\n, • First Aid qualification or willingness to undertake training.\n\n Job Offer \n What's on Offer: \n \n\n • Secure role within a leading manufacturing business.\n, • Opportunity to work on a wide range of automated production equipment.\n, • Ongoing training and development opportunities.\n, • Supportive engineering team and management structure.\n, • Exposure to continuous improvement and modern manufacturing practices.\n, • Long-term career progression opportunities.\n, • Competitive salary and benefits package.\n, • Dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment where your contribution makes a real impact.\n
