We’ll broaden your horizons Learning and Development (L&D) is a key enabler of our strategy as an Audit Stream and critical to our success. It supports our ability to attract, develop and retain talented people who take pride in their work and successfully deliver for our business. Effective L&D underpins quality and productivity by supporting our people to develop the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their work, helping them reach their personal and professional potential. Effective L&D does not happen by chance. It requires specialist resources who partner with the Audit Stream to identify training needs and appropriately respond to them. Careful planning and project management are necessary, as are a critical-thinking and commercial mindset, and an understanding of regulatory requirements. Effective L&D needs consideration of the latest innovation, tools and technology to lead the development of personal and professional learning that is tailored, relevant and timely for our people. The Lead Programme Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Learning Implementation team, a group of 5-6 individuals who are geographically spread across the UK. They will be responsible for the strategic sourcing and management of various external suppliers including venues, facilitators, licenses and event production and, together with the other team leads, will manage the book of work (and relative prioritisation) for learning across the Stream; with audiences of 3,600 learners and covering both in person and virtual learning. The Lead Programme Manager will own the effective delivery, prioritisation, and execution of the Audit L&D calendar of events, including early in careers, post qualified learning, US, FS and other sectors curricula, ensuring learning is implemented effectively, in an efficient and standardised manner. They will work closely with colleagues across the L&D team, particularly the Audit L&D Operations team and the Leadership Team (LT). It is expected that any successful candidate has a working knowledge of Audit and the associated regulatory environment and practical experience of learning implementation is a must for the role. Strong project management, an ability to work with and influence and variety of stakeholders, and a focus on continuous improvement are also key for the role. Learning experience should be a top priority for any successful candidate. The successful candidate can be based anywhere in the UK. Regional candidates are welcomed. Travel to the London office, where Audit Stream L&D is based, as well as some travel to other offices and external venues, will be required. Certain support on courses will require residential stays. This role is a fixed term contract for eighteen months. You will be responsible for: * Strategic sourcing and management of various external suppliers ensuring that service level agreements are established the serve business needs effectively and in a commercially viable way * Owning the implementation aspects of all programmes and projects, including tracking, risk management and reporting and overseeing the coordination of learning logistics as needed to support the delivery of the book of work * Building and maintaining key strategic supplier relationships * Communicate effectively with the L&D team and other central teams such as Procurement, Finance, IT and Facilities, ensuring relevant matters are drawn to their attention on a timely basis * Establishing the learning implementation strategy to optimise ways of working across the team and deliver effective learner experience * Driving the transformation of learning implementation through standardisation, automation and optimisation as appropriate to future proof operations for the team – working closely with the Operations Manager and LT on this key project for the coming period * Leveraging practical learning implementation experience and working knowledge of audit and the regulatory environment to bring best practice implementation to Audit Stream L&D * Managing the day-to-day activities within the Learning Implementation team, providing coaching and leadership to others in the team as needed * Working with and across the horizontal team as needed to support appropriate delivery of our book of work and provide the best learning experience possible * Collaborating with other teams within BDO, such as Procurement, Finance, IT and Facilities to support effective delivery * Providing onsite project management support for programmes as appropriate * Bringing fresh ideas to the business to support effective learning solutions * Leading on various transformation projects in Learning Implementation to support standardisation, automation and optimisation with our processes (as appropriate) You'll be someone with: * Current experience working as a Manager (or equivalent) with a strong knowledge of learning and development and best practice implementation * Experience of working with and across the horizontal business partnering, design and delivery teams * Enhanced knowledge of working with suppliers, ensuring value-for-money and operational excellence in delivery against agreed SLAs * A strong working knowledge of Audit and the associated regulatory environment * A proven track record of transformation (including simplification and automation processes) and bringing about continuous improvement to / within existing processes * Experience of working with other teams within an organisation; Procurement, Finance, IT, Facilities etc is favourable * A working knowledge of Workday (our LMS) would be beneficial but is not essential * Strong project management skills (and associated tools knowledge) * Exceptional communications skills, with and across numerous grades in any organisation * Strong and evident experience of leading a team which are geographically spread across the UK would be advantageous * Experience of evident budgetary management would also be advantageous but is not essential We’re in it together Mutual support and respect is one of BDO’s core values and we’re proud of our distinctive, people-centred culture. Job Title: Nurse Manager Contract: Permanent, Full-time (37.5 hours per week) Monday to Friday Location: Home based with travel as required Salary: Up to £48,000 per annum As Nurse Manager at Medigold Health, you will be responsible for leading a team of Occupational Health Advisors, Nurses, and Technicians to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality clinical services to our clients across the UK. You will play a vital role in maintaining clinical excellence, supporting professional development, and ensuring that our service aligns with the highest standards of patient care, compliance, and client satisfaction. Drawing on your clinical expertise and leadership experience, you will oversee day-to-day team management, support with recruitment and onboarding of new team members, and provide guidance on complex case management referrals. You’ll also take the lead in clinical audits, help manage complaints, and support our Associate Director of Nursing in shaping and developing our service offering. Please note, this role sits within IVI RMA, covering the Northern Europe region ROLE PURPOSE The UK Nurse Director is a key member of the UK Leadership Team, serving as the professional nursing lead across all UK clinics. The UK Nurse Director is responsible for nursing governance, clinical quality, workforce leadership and the implementation of nursing protocols that ensure the highest standards of patient safety and care. The UK Nurse Director is accountable for all nursing processes and KPIs across the UK, including the delivery of safe, effective, patient-centred care and supporting commercially aligned service delivery. This includes line management, development, and performance oversight of nursing teams across the organisation, and close collaboration with Medical Affairs, Operations, HR, and Quality colleagues. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Reporting to the UK Medical Director, serving as the national nursing lead and key partner to the UK clinical and operational leadership teams, the UK Nurse Director leads all nursing functions to drive consistent standards, regulatory compliance, and service excellence, including but not limited to the following: • Leadership of the national nursing team, including Lead Nurses, Nurse Managers, Fertility Nurses, and other roles introduced as the nursing structure evolves, • Collaboration with Deputy Medical Director and Medical Affairs colleagues on the development, revision, and updating of clinical and nursing protocols, pathways, and strategic projects, • Establishment, control and monitoring of nursing processes in line with Group policies to ensure effectiveness, safety and operational consistency, • Acting as the central representative for the nursing profession in the UK, coordinating communication flows, providing guidance and ensuring nursing alignment across all clinics, • Collaboration with HR and L&D to deliver continuous professional development, internal training and structured competency pathways for all nursing staff, • Leadership in the design, execution and improvement of both clinical and non-clinical processes to reduce patient safety risks and enhance quality of care, • Promotion of a strong safety culture, ensuring nursing teams understand and adhere to patient safety risk management principles, • Identification, documentation, reporting and management of patient safety risks, including implementing required actions instructed by Medical Affairs, • Ensuring full compliance with HFEA, NMC, BFS guidance and other relevant regulatory and professional bodies, • Oversight of clinical success metrics, supporting underperforming nurses through targeted training, one-to-one development, and audit monitoring, • Support for recruitment through CV screening, interviewing and workforce planning, • Collaboration with clinics on equipment training, capital expenditure requests and ensuring appropriate nursing resources are maintained, • Leadership of SOP development updates and implementation, ensuring clinics adopt and deliver all required standards, including training Lead Nurses in SOP compliance, • Active involvement in IVI Group projects, representing the UK in group-wide nursing and clinical initiatives, • Acting as the primary UK contact for data and information requests from Helix or Group functions, • Participation in leadership activities with CMO/COOs to support overall performance improvement across clinics, including involvement in performance or conduct management relating to nursing staff, • Quarterly audit of nursing performance data to support quality reviews and clinical improvement plans, • Contribution to patient pathway optimisation, service efficiency reviews and assessment of workforce capability, resource needs and equipment alignment, • Review of business cases for nursing-related equipment and capital expenditure requests with Finance, • Support for clinic-level complaint resolution, including resolving local complaints with Clinical Directors and managing serious issues with the Quality and Complaints Director, • Development and delivery of complaint-handling training to strengthen nursing team capability EXPERIENCE/PERSONAL SPECIFICATION • Registered Nurse (NMC) with no restrictions, • Significant leadership experience within a regulated healthcare environment, ideally within fertility or women’s health, • Minimum 5 years’ experience working within an IVF unit, • Demonstrable experience implementing clinical protocols, improving patient safety and managing clinical risks, • Proven track record in leading multi-site nursing teams and driving performance improvement, • Experience working with regulatory frameworks including HFEA, NMC, BFS and internal governance structures, • Competence in workforce development, training frameworks and clinical competency assessment, • Strong operational understanding with the ability to support commercial and service efficiency objectives CONFIDENTIALITY The post holder must maintain the confidentiality of information about patients, clients, staff and Create Health Clinics’ business in accordance with the HFEA Code of Practice, the Code of Confidentiality of Personal Health Data, the Korner Report on confidentiality, the Data Protection Act 1998 and Caldecott principals.
