Job Title: Technical Administrator\n\nRole Overview\n\nThe Technical Administrator provides essential administrative and technical support to the project team, ensuring the efficient coordination, documentation, and tracking of project activities. The role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple systems and data sources within a fast-paced environment.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nMaintain and update project spreadsheets, trackers, and databases to ensure accurate and up-to-date information is available at all times\nManage and monitor interactive mail logs, ensuring timely responses and appropriate escalation where required\nPrepare, organise, and manage documentation in line with project and client requirements, including handling National Highways documentation and related compliance records\nSupport the Project Coordinator with day-to-day administrative and coordination tasks\nAssist with the submission and tracking of permits, including Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders (TTROs) and other road space applications\nLiaise with internal teams, local authorities, and external stakeholders to obtain required information and ensure smooth project delivery\nMonitor deadlines and ensure key milestones and submissions are met\nEnsure document control processes are followed, including version control and audit trails\nGenerate reports and summaries for project updates and stakeholder communication\nIdentify and implement improvements to administrative processes and workflowsTechnical / Professional Requirements\n\nStrong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel for data management and reporting)\nExperience working with document management systems and shared platforms\nUnderstanding of highways or local authority processes (desirable)\nKnowledge of road space management and permitting systems, including TTROs (desirable but not essential)\nAbility to quickly learn new software systems and internal processes\nHigh level of accuracy and attention to detail when handling data and documentationSkills and Competencies\n\nExcellent organisational and time management skills\nStrong communication skills, both written and verbal\nAbility to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks simultaneously\nProactive approach with the ability to use initiative\nProblem-solving mindset with a focus on efficiency\nAbility to work independently as well as collaboratively within a small team\nAdaptability in a fast-paced and evolving project environmentExperience\n\nPrevious experience in an administrative or technical support role\nExperience within highways, construction or local authority environments (preferred but not essential)Personal Attributes\n\nReliable, professional, and detail-oriented\nQuick learner with a positive attitude\nComfortable working under pressure and to tight deadlines\nTeam-oriented with a willingness to support colleagues\nFlexible and adaptable to changing project needs Working hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM (office based)\n\nWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity in our company.
