CNC Machinist / Programmer Location: Castle Donington, DerbyJob Type: Permanent | Full Time The Opportunity Are you an experienced CNC Machinist / Programmer looking to work on complex, high-precision aerospace components?We are recruiting for a skilled CNC Machinist / Programmer to join a leading aerospace manufacturing business based in Castle Donington. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a highly skilled machine shop, manufacturing precision components for the aerospace industry while working with the latest multi-axis CNC technology.You'll be involved in both new product introduction (NPI) and established production programmes, working closely with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to deliver high-quality components in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment.Key Responsibilities\n\n • Set, operate and program 5-axis CNC milling machines.\n, • Manufacture complex, high-precision aerospace components to tight tolerances.\n, • Select appropriate tooling, cutting strategies, feeds and speeds to maximise efficiency.\n, • Interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T.\n, • Carry out in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment.\n, • Work closely with Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering to support NPI projects.\n, • Optimise machining processes to improve cycle times and productivity.\n, • Support continuous improvement initiatives across the machine shop.\n, • Perform routine machine maintenance and TPM activities.\n, • Maintain high standards of quality, housekeeping and 5S.\n, • Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company procedures.\nWhat We're Looking For\n\n, • Previous experience as a CNC Machinist / Programmer within aerospace, motorsport or another precision engineering environment.\n, • Strong experience with 5-axis CNC milling machines.\n, • Knowledge of CNC programming using ISO or Fanuc controls.\n, • Ability to read complex engineering drawings and understand GD&T.\n, • Experience machining high-performance or exotic materials.\n, • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing right-first-time components.\n, • Strong problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset.\n, • Able to work independently while contributing effectively within a team.\nWhat's on offer\n\n, • Permanent, full-time position\n, • Opportunity to work on cutting-edge aerospace programmes\n, • Modern manufacturing facility with advanced CNC machinery\n, • Involvement in both New Product Introduction and production machining\n, • Collaborative and highly skilled engineering environment\n, • Genuine opportunities for development and continuous learning\nIf you're an experienced CNC Machinist / Programmer looking to take the next step in your career within a growing aerospace manufacturer, we'd love to hear from you.
