We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Care Team Leader to join our residential mental health service, Laughton Croft. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, person-centred environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality care and support to adults with mental health needs. As a Team Leader, you will play a key role in supporting the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager with the day-to-day running of the service. You’ll lead shifts, mentor staff, oversee care delivery, and help create a safe, empowering, and recovery-focused environment where residents can thrive. This is more than just a leadership role, it’s an opportunity to positively impact lives, champion best practice, and help individuals achieve greater independence, confidence, and wellbeing. • Lead and motivate care staff to deliver exceptional, person-centred support, • Act as the senior member of staff on shift, providing guidance and direction, • Ensure the smooth and effective running of the service day-to-day, • Promote a safe, supportive, and positive living environment for residents, • Respond confidently to incidents, safeguarding concerns, and emergencies, • Develop and maintain detailed, person-centred care plans tailored to individual needs, • Complete and review risk assessments and mental capacity assessments, • Create personalised Safety Plans, Life Plans, and “All About Me” profiles, • Support residents with daily living, emotional wellbeing, independence, and recovery goals, • Build meaningful relationships with residents and encourage positive outcomes, • Support, supervise, and mentor care staff to help them grow and succeed, • Lead handovers and team meetings to ensure excellent communication across shifts, • Work collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies, • Promote a positive team culture built on respect, compassion, and accountability, • Ensure all care records and documentation are accurate, up to date, and compliant, • Support audits, inspections, and quality monitoring within the service, • Champion safeguarding, best practice, and high standards of mental health care, • Ensure all staff follow policies, procedures, and recovery-focused approaches, • Previous experience working within mental health or residential care services, • Experience in a Senior Support Worker, Team Leader, or similar leadership role, • Strong understanding of care planning, risk assessments, and safeguarding procedures, • Knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act and person-centred care approaches, • Ability to confidently lead shifts and support a care team effectively, • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, • Ability to maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation, • A compassionate, professional, and proactive approach to supporting residents, • NVQ/QCF Level 3 (or above) in Health & Social Care, • Experience completing Mental Capacity Assessments and safety planning, • Experience conducting staff supervisions and mentoring team members, • Knowledge of CQC standards and regulatory requirements within residential care services, • Strong leadership and decision-making abilities, • Excellent organisation and time management skills, • Ability to problem solve and remain calm under pressure, • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, • High attention to detail with record keeping and documentation, • Compassionate, recovery-focused, and person-centred approach to care, • Mileage paid over 5 miles (up to 50 miles per day), • Life insurance, • Company pension in place, • Meals provided, • 24/7 free counselling service, • On site car park, • Monthly staff bonusesRefer a friend scheme of up to £250 each Full time (37.5 hours per week).
