Project Manager If you describe yourself as someone with a can-do attitude who looks for solutions rather than barriers, this one should feel like a good fit. This role is for a Project Manager who likes being in the thick of things. Someone practical, resourceful and delivery-focused, who enjoys taking ownership of complex product projects and seeing them through to manufacturing handover. The position sits within a growing technology business developing advanced, engineered products used in demanding environments. The projects are high visibility, business critical and technically complex. This is not a support or coordination role. You will be directly accountable for delivery. What you will be doing: • Owning and delivering multiple complex product development projects at the same time, • Managing projects from development through to manufacturing handover, • Delivering against demanding schedules, budgets and quality expectations, • Leading regular project meetings including planning, reviews and retrospectives, • Managing risks, issues, dependencies and mitigation plans, • Removing roadblocks through pragmatic, lateral thinking, • Knowing when to push forward and when to escalate appropriately, • Working closely with software, hardware, quality and manufacturing teams, • Partnering with technical leads, architects and product managers, • Ensuring project management processes are followed and continuously improved, • Building trust, engagement and accountability within project teams, • Embedding quality throughout the delivery lifecycle What do we need from you: • Direct, hands-on project management experience, • A degree in engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience, • Formal project management training or certification such as APM, PRINCE2, SAFe, IPMA or equivalent, • At least three years’ experience delivering complex, product-led projects, • Experience in product project management with either a hardware or software bias, • A strong appreciation of electronics hardware and hardware/software integration, • Experience working across Agile and Waterfall environments, • A solid understanding of software development lifecycles, including embedded, platform or application-based products, • Experience with configuration management and continuous integration workflows, • A practical, can-do attitude with a resourceful approach to problem solving, • Confidence leading cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders, • Experience working with external suppliers under Statements of Work Please Note – This is a full time office based role.
