Chief of Staff | Fast-Growth B Corp Agency Harmonic is entering one of the most exciting chapters in our history, and we're looking for an exceptional Chief of Staff to sit at the heart of it. This is a rare opportunity to operate as a trusted partner to our CEO, lead high-impact strategic projects, and help shape the future direction of a fast-scaling, values-led business. Based in Shoreditch, Harmonic is a B Corp Certified executive search and recruitment firm with an inclusive, non-corporate culture. We partner with some of Europe's most ambitious organisations from pioneering FinTech, AI and SaaS businesses to record labels, fashion houses and media brands. We take our values seriously: knowledge, community, and respect underpin everything we do. The Role This is a senior, strategic leadership position- not an EA or support role. As Chief of Staff, you will serve as a visible, credible leader within the London office, acting as the CEO's eyes and ears on the ground and owning a portfolio of transformational projects that directly shape business outcomes. You will bring commercial maturity, high emotional intelligence, and a proven ability to make complex things happen in ambiguous environments. You're as comfortable challenging financial assumptions in a board pack as you are building trust with a room full of senior stakeholders. You influence outcomes not through authority, but through rigour, relationships, and clarity of thought. This role suits someone operating at a senior level who is ready to step into a high-autonomy, high-visibility position and grow into a broader leadership mandate over time. Hybrid working: 3–4 days a week in our Shoreditch office. Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership & Office Presence • Serve as a senior day-to-day leader in the London office, providing visible and credible leadership across all functions., • Act as the CEO's proxy on the ground- surfacing issues early, connecting dots across the business, and ensuring leadership has a clear and unfiltered picture of operational reality., • Build strong cross-functional relationships and foster a culture of accountability, pace, and commercial focus., • Represent the CEO and executive team in key meetings, negotiations, and stakeholder engagements where appropriate. Operational Excellence & Cross-Business Projects • Own a rolling portfolio of strategic projects delegated by the CEO, ensuring each is scoped, resourced, and delivered on time and to brief., • Establish and maintain governance rhythms- including leadership meetings, reporting cadences, and decision-making forums- that keep the business moving at pace., • Identify operational inefficiencies and lead initiatives to improve organisational effectiveness across the London office and internationally., • Contribute to executive briefings, board materials, and strategic planning processes. Finance Partnering & Commercial Insight • Partner closely with the fractional CFO and Finance Manager to translate financial reporting into clear, actionable narratives for leadership and the wider organisation., • Act as the bridge between the CFO and operational functions, ensuring financial insight informs decision-making at every level., • Interrogate the numbers with curiosity and commercial judgement — surfacing material risks, challenging assumptions, and equipping the leadership team with meaningful context ahead of key decisions., • Support the preparation of financial narratives for board and investor audiences. Example Strategic Projects: • AI Transformation: Lead Harmonic's internal AI initiative from scoping through to implementation and adoption. Define the vision, secure buy-in, partner with external vendors and business unit leads, and build a prioritised roadmap of high-value use cases. Champion AI literacy and a culture of experimentation across the business., • Commercialisation: Partner with the creative and growth team to reposition marketing as a commercially driven engine of growth. Diagnose capability gaps, define the target operating model, and introduce rigorous performance frameworks — from attribution modelling to campaign ROI — that connect marketing activity directly to revenue outcomes. The Essentials • Significant experience in a senior operational, strategy, or Chief of Staff role., • A track record of leading complex, cross-functional projects from inception to delivery with limited oversight., • Financial literacy and confidence working with financial data- able to identify problems, interrogate assumptions, and translate outputs into clear narratives (no accounting qualification required though!), • Strong commercial acumen, with experience shaping or challenging marketing and revenue strategy., • Confidence engaging with AI and emerging technology, either through direct project ownership or close collaboration with technical teams., • Exceptional communication skills- able to distil complexity for executive audiences and inspire action at all levels of the business., • The ability to influence and drive outcomes in an emotionally intelligent, collegiate manner: someone who brings people with them rather than pushing from behind., • Experience working across multiple offices or geographies., • London-based, with the ability to maintain a consistent and credible in-office presence., • Strong academic background., • Background in professional services, scale-up or technology environments- no recruitment industry experience required. Desirable • Experience working directly with a CEO or Founder in a high-trust, high-autonomy capacity., • Prior exposure to marketing transformation or revenue operations., • Familiarity with AI tools, automation platforms, or technology-led change programmes., • An MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification (we value demonstrated impact over credentials).
