An engineering and manufacturing company specialising in advanced security detection and inspection equipment are looking for a Buyer to join them on a 10-month contract in Stoke-On-Trent. Responsibilities: • Purchasing of materials, • Preparation of supply chain documentation & quotations, • Supporting the Senior Buyer in selecting suppliers, • Daily review of MRP systems, • Develop and manage vendor relationships to improve Quality, Cost & Delivery performance, • Raise Purchase Orders in line with production requirements Professional Skills/Abilities: • Strong communication skills at all levels, • Computer literacy – Excel & Word essential, Access preferable, • Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems for BOM, scheduling, forecast analysis, and capacity planning, • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, • Excellent attention to detail
