Youll be providing excellent support across site, ensuring machines, equipment and property are all maintained to ensure production is maximised while working to planned schedules. How You Will Make an Impact Liaise with the Engineering Manager daily to ensure machine down time is kept to a minimum Identify and solve day to day maintenance problems Perform PPM (planned preventative maintenance) schedules as required Involvement with projects and continuous improvements Perform duties from the maintenance non-urgent job list Accurately complete all documentation in a timely fashion Accurately create and update relevant SOPs as necessary Identify and solve day to day machine and plant related problems Carry out maintenance activities on buildings, plant, and facilities to improve quality and cost effectiveness Liaise with the Engineering Manager to ensure the availability of spare machine parts whilst keeping costs to a minimum Set up various packaging machinery as and when required and assist with installation of new equipment Provide machine setup as required and work with the site to improve its TPM plans. Communicate effectively with the team and inform the Engineering Manager of any machine faults / difficulties at any time throughout the day. Provide training and coaching to other employees and team members as required in line with our one team ethos What We Are Looking For A time served engineer/ recognised engineering trade apprenticeship and/or HNC in electrical engineering(236 City and Guilds) Proven experience within the FMCG sector Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of electrical control systems Experience and a good understanding of fault finding, 3 phase and single-phase motors, pumps, relays, sensors, and drives Solid mechanical skills, chains, gears, bearings and seals. Computer Literate, with good general understanding of the Microsoft suite including Excel and Outlook Excellent problems solving skills with the ability to be proactive and make sound decisions to resolve situations. SNR SYSTEMS INTEGRATION ENGINEER Engineering Integration affords a fantastic opportunity to broaden and develop your career and experience to support increasingly senior roles across the Business. A role in Engineering Integration will provide a broad understanding of our Engineering activities and offer the opportunity to work across many of the Business functions and engineering disciplines that are necessary to design and develop our Systems of System platforms. Engineering Integration is the discipline that manages:- • the integration of the component parts of a product or system into a cohesive, effective whole • applying the Systems Engineering approaches across the engineering disciplines to define the customer needs and the required functionality early in the development cycle, documenting requirements, then proceeding with design synthesis and system validation while considering the complete problem. • applying systems engineering methods, criteria and techniques to optimise all aspects of safety throughout the lifecycle. • translates customer requirements into a practicable solution architecture and partitions this into lower level requirements / specifications • ensure that the resulting solution meets the customer requirements and is properly designed, certified, and controlled.” The role will be Warton Unit based. The successful candidate will be required to perform tasks suitable to the internal level of this role. The role will contain, but will not be limited to, the following: Support Engineering delivery management of the programme to time, cost and scope/quality/performance requirements of the programme (including management of technical risk) Support alignment / integration of technology developments and de-risking activities. Support maintenance of Engineering Statements of Work across a variety of disciplines and stakeholders Delivery Technical Management & Integration tasks/sub-tasks appropriate to the needs of the program Work with Technical teams to deliver robust technical management of the Technology portfolio Support management of UK ‘Lead Sub-System Integrators' (Major suppliers: Rolls-Royce, Leonardo and MBDA) – supporting appropriate review of their activities, to ensure proper direction and guidance. Support deployment of engineering governance activities within Technology Support deployment Engineering Lifecycle Management through the Technology Programme (e.g. applying design review gates to demonstrator life-cycles) in line with programme frameworks) Support appropriate review and approval of any Technology led technical proposals through the company required approvals, and ensuring suitable clearance of partner proposals (and support to same as required for programme level activities.
