About the role As a Formulation Technician, you will support the development and preparation of product formulations by following established procedures, performing laboratory tests, and documenting results accurately. You will operate and maintain equipment, assist in optimising formulas, and ensure all work meets quality and safety standards. Work Schedule & Shifts We operate three rotating shifts within the time window of 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM. The shift patterns are as follows: Shift Timings Shift 1: 6:30 AM – 3:45 PM Shift 2: 9:45 AM – 6:30 PM Shift 3: Rotational within the 6:30 AM – 6:30 PM operating hours Work Pattern You will work 4 consecutive days, followed by 2 days off. You will receive 1.5 weekends off every 3 weeks, ensuring regular time for rest and personal commitments. Roles and Responsibilities: • You will work within the production laboratory and asceptic dispensing room to produce SensititreTM antimicrobic susceptibility plates., • You will ensure H&S and quality standards are always met. You will always work to ensure compliance with GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice); and ensure our SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) are followed., • Preparation of antimicrobic solutions in accordance with relevant SOPs and in line with production paperwork - weighing, dissolution and dilution · Set-up and monitoring of production dispensing pumps, to enable on time and quality production output - pouring, priming and weight checks., • Manufacture of various necessary ancillary solutions – ID media, buffers and excipients · Compliance checks of laboratory equipment and instrumentation – pipettes, balances and extractors, • Maintain and monitor raw material stock levels – consumables, intermediates and equipment, • Support the laboratory by washing and autoclaving equipment – pumps, glassware and other items · Utilise computer software to process information – SAP ERP, Microsoft Office and bespoke programs · Further duties and responsibilities as required by the business and within the ability of the post holder. The must haves: • Ideally educated to A-level standard in a scientific subject, • Capable of following standard operating procedures and H&S guidelines, • Good teamwork and communication skills, • Able to organize and prioritise tasks under own initiative, • Attention to detail when following procedures and keeping manual records, • Ability to perform complex manual tasks with dexterity, • Computer literacy would be beneficial, • Laboratory experience is an advantage, • Exposure to a fast-paced high‑throughput manufacturing‑type environment would be valuable What’s in it for you? – Our client loves to reward their people for doing a great job. • This is a 12 Month Contract, • This role provides an onsite working access in East Grinstead - The Birches Unit 19 (Onsite), • Rate: £12.65 per hour through PAYE Next Steps Once you’ve applied, one of our friendly recruitment consultants will give you a call and talk you through the screening process.
