    The Listing is looking for a confident, organised and proactive Sales & Events Assistant to join our team. You’ll support the day-to-day sales and events operation, helping turn enquiries into confirmed bookings while ensuring clients receive excellent service from their first enquiry through to their event. This is a customer-facing role, so excellent communication skills are crucial. You should be comfortable speaking with clients by email, over the phone and face-to-face, and confident conducting venue viewings. Key Responsibilities • Handle incoming event and booking enquiries via email and telephone in a professional and timely manner., • Respond to clients, provide venue information, menus, packages and availability, and follow up enquiries to help convert leads into bookings., • Proactively generate new leads and identify opportunities for corporate events, private parties, Christmas bookings and other functions., • Conduct venue viewings with prospective clients, confidently presenting The Listing and its different event spaces., • Follow up after viewings and maintain communication with prospective clients., • Assist with preparing quotes, proposals and event information., • Maintain accurate records of enquiries, leads, bookings and client communications., • Work closely with the operations team to ensure confirmed event details are communicated correctly., • Assist the Office Manager with day-to-day administrative and operational tasks., • Help maintain relationships with existing corporate and event clients and encourage repeat business., • Support the wider team during busy periods and with general office duties where required. What We’re Looking For The ideal candidate will have: • Excellent written and verbal communication skills., • A confident and professional telephone manner., • A friendly, outgoing personality and confidence meeting clients face-to-face., • Strong organisation and attention to detail., • Good time-management skills and the ability to manage multiple enquiries at once., • A proactive approach to sales and lead generation., • Confidence following up leads and asking for the booking., • Good computer and administrative skills., • The ability to work independently while also being part of a busy hospitality team., • Previous experience in hospitality, events, sales or customer service is desirable but not essential.     The Role We’re looking for a Front of House Manager — someone who can own the floor, lead a team, and make sure every guest gets the Sweet Jerk experience from the moment they walk through the door. If you’ve managed in fast-paced brands like Nando’s, Wagamama, PizzaExpress, Five Guys, Wingstop or similar, this will feel familiar. This is not a Supervisor or Senior Waiter/Waitress role. We’re looking for someone who has already managed a restaurant Front of House operation and knows what it takes to run a busy service, lead a team, hold standards, cash up, handle customers, and keep everything moving when the pressure is on. You’ll work closely with the Restaurant Manager and Kitchen Manager to make sure FOH is sharp, organised and bringing the energy every service. Key Responsibilities Lead the Front of House team during service, keeping the floor organised, efficient, and guest-focused. Manage service flow across seating, ordering, food running, drinks, clearing, and customer experience. Lead and motivate the FOH team, setting the standard through your own energy and performance. Handle customer concerns and service recovery confidently and professionally. Carry out opening and closing procedures, including cashing up and end-of-day till reconciliation. Train, onboard, and develop new FOH team members. Support rota planning, shift allocation, and appropriate staffing levels. Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and restaurant readiness. Ensure company procedures, health and safety requirements, and operational checks are followed. Monitor team performance and address issues quickly when standards slip. Work closely with the kitchen team to keep communication tight and service flowing. Step in wherever needed during busy periods — at Sweet Jerk, our managers lead from the floor. What We’re Looking For ✅ At least 2 years’ experience as a Restaurant Manager or Front of House Manager. ✅ Proven experience directly managing a FOH team of 5+ people. ✅ Experience running busy restaurant services as the manager responsible for the floor. ✅ Confident with cashing up, till reconciliation, opening and closing procedures. ✅ Experience managing rotas, staffing, training, and team performance. ✅ Strong customer service skills and confidence handling complaints and service recovery. ✅ Experience within a recognised restaurant group, hospitality brand, or busy standards-led restaurant environment is highly desirable. ✅ Calm, organised, and decisive when service gets busy. ✅ Someone who leads by example — on the floor, not from the sidelines. ✅ High standards, great energy, and a genuinely warm approach to hospitality. ✅ Flexible availability including evenings and weekends.
