GE Vernova is looking for an exceptional Senior SAP Operations Specialist to join our Grid Automation (GA) Operations team, with flexibility to be based in Stafford (UK), Bilbao – Pinoa (Spain), or Montpellier (France). The Senior SAP Operations Specialist is the critical connection point between Regional Operations, Central Operations and our Digital Technology organisation, ensuring SAP accurately reflects and supports the needs of our Grid Automation business. We are seeking a Senior SAP Operations Specialist to own the integrity and effectiveness of our SAP environment from a Customer Order Management perspective, translating complex business requirements into robust digital solutions, maintaining data integrity, and driving the consistent adoption of SAP standards across all regions. Whether you are troubleshooting a complex business flow, leading a system deployment or upskilling colleagues on SAP best practices, your work will directly improve how our operations function and how effectively we serve our customers. • Represent GA Operations as the go‑to authority in all IT and SAP initiatives, translating end‑to‑end operational needs – from order management to product hierarchy and material attributes – into clear, actionable business requirements., • Govern system integrity by challenging digital solutions that deviate from SAP logic or GA standards, ensuring all regional tools remain aligned with SAP master and transactional data., • Lead process optimisation through gap analysis of existing operational systems, identifying and implementing improvements that enhance efficiency and data integrity across the business., • Collaborate with Digital Technology teams and subject‑matter experts to design, test and deploy SAP‑based tools – and drive user readiness through training materials and hands‑on sessions., • Provide expert‑level troubleshooting and support for complex business flows, supporting GA users across SAP SD, MM and PP modules., • Drive the standardisation of GA SAP processes globally, fostering a continuous improvement mindset focused on eliminating waste and strengthening consistency across all regions., • Operational SAP fluency with expert level in SAP SD (Sales & Distribution) and strong functional knowledge across SAP MM, PP and FI modules – you understand the transaction flows that keep our production and logistics moving., • A solid understanding of end‑to‑end business flows within a manufacturing, order management, production or logistics environment – from customer order intake through to fulfilment, payment and returns., • Active listening and translation: excel at listening to operational challenges and translating them into clear system requirements; facilitate discussions between technical DT teams and business users., • Team empowerment: passion for training and upskilling; comfortable acting as a “go‑to” resource, simplifying complex processes and coaching colleagues., • Proven experience supporting or deploying SAP‑based digital tools in operational environments, ideally across multiple regions or business units., • The ability to translate complex SAP logic into clear operational language and communicate effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders., • Experience as a SAP Key User, Super User or Business Process Expert, with confidence to guide and upskill others., • Process improvement mindset: proactive approach to work, always looking for ways to standardise processes and eliminate waste. Comfortable applying Lean concepts to drive small, meaningful improvements., • Flexibility to travel to regional locations as business needs require. A background in Order Management, Production or Logistics is a strong advantage. Familiarity with traceability requirements (such as serial number management) and installed‑base tools (such as ServiceMax) would also be beneficial. A formal degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or a related discipline is a nice to have; we most value your overall experience and professional achievements. Strong written and spoken English is required, as you’ll collaborate with teams across multiple countries and regions. This is a permanent position with flexibility to be based in Stafford (UK), Bilbao – Pinoa (Spain) or Montpellier (France).
