JOB DETAILS JOB BAND: E CONTRACT TYPE: 12 month FTC / Attachment DEPARTMENT: CCOG Data LOCATION: London or Salford - Hybrid (1-2 days per week in the office) PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £70,000 - £80,000 negotiable depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights. We're happy to discuss flexible working. PURPOSE OF THE ROLE As a Lead Analyst within the Content Analytics team, your role will manage the News, and Nations and Regions divisions. Working in collaboration with the Head of Content Analytics, you will look to identify where data and analysis can have the highest strategic impact, delivering audience insight to inform our commissioning. In addition to the line management of 4 analysts, you will also work hands-on to adapt often complex data into high-quality visualisations and tangible recommendations. YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT • Coordinate the commission, planning, and delivery of large analytics projects, • Help to define and embed best practice approaches to storytelling with data and verbal presentation, • Support others to deliver analysis to a high degree of accuracy, and develop and implement quality check and documentation standards, • Align priorities with organisational objectives by building relationships with senior stakeholders across functions, contributing to cross-team strategic initiatives, and helping to shape delivery roadmaps to maximise high-impact outcomes, • Manage a team of data analysts, support their professional development and workload management, and inspire through coaching and feedback, • Plan team resource and recruitment so as to meet organisational goals Essential Criteria: • Education to degree level or above in STEM subject or equivalent experience, • Expertise in at least one data scripting language such as Python, R or SQL, supplementing deep knowledge of statistical theory, quantitative analytics and forecasting/predictive modelling, • Experience in leading the delivery of analytics projects in corporate or public sector organisations, • Experience in championing best practice standards for data visualisation and storytelling, including coaching others in translating complex ideas into clear visuals, • A good understanding of linear and on demand television services, news media, online publishing, with a knowledge of key competitors Before your start date, you may need to disclose any unspent convictions or police charges, in line with our Contracts of Employment policy.
