PME Engineer – Building Management Systems (BMS) Ireland - Hybrid Working Salary - €50,000 - €60,000 + Package + Bonus About the Role A leading engineering organization is seeking a PME Engineer with strong Building Management Systems (BMS) experience to support the design, implementation, and optimization of building and utility control systems. This role plays a key part in ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operation of complex industrial and regulated facilities. Key Responsibilities • Design, configure, and support Building Management Systems (BMS) for industrial and regulated facilities, • Integrate BMS with HVAC, clean utilities, process equipment, and electrical systems, • Develop and review control strategies, sequences of operation, and system architecture, • Support installation, commissioning, and validation of BMS and associated field devices, • Perform FAT/SAT, troubleshooting, and system optimization activities, • Ensure compliance with GMP, GxP, and applicable industry standards, • Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, automation, and project teams, • Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, including drawings, specifications, and SOPs, • Support ongoing system maintenance, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, or Process Engineering (or equivalent experience), • Proven experience in a PME or BMS-focused engineering role, • Strong knowledge of BMS platforms (e.g., Siemens, Honeywell, Schneider, Johnson Controls, or similar), • Solid understanding of HVAC systems, instrumentation, and electrical controls, • Experience working in regulated environments (pharma, biotech, data centers, or industrial facilities), • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, control schematics, and electrical drawings, • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills Preferred Qualifications • Experience with GMP / life sciences facilities, • Knowledge of cleanroom HVAC and environmental monitoring systems, • Familiarity with BACnet, Modbus, and other building automation protocols, • Commissioning or validation experience, • Understanding of energy management and sustainability initiatives What’s Offered • Competitive salary and benefits package, • Opportunity to work on high-spec, technically complex facilities, • Long-term career development in a growing engineering environment, • Collaborative, hands-on engineering culture, • Hybrid Working
