This is a pivotal role at the heart of a highly automated operation, where youll take ownership of real-time performance across the warehouse. Acting as the central coordination point, youll oversee systems, people and processes to ensure seamless flow from inbound through to outbound. Youll work closely with multiple departments, using live data to make quick, informed decisions, resolve issues before they escalate, and keep the operation running at peak efficiency. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a highly visible role where your impact will be immediate and measurable.This is a full-time, permanent role. Initially you will be working any 5 from 7, covering the hours of 15:00 till 23:00. After 3 months, you will need to work flexibly across both our AM and PM shifts.Pay, benefits and more:Were looking to offer a salary of up to £50,000 per annum, and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). Youll also have access to our MyBenefits platform offering a variety of high street discounts, a cycle to work scheme, cashback cards, a saving scheme and much more!What youll do on a typical day:Lead the daily operation of the control room, ensuring constant monitoring of automation systems, WMS/WCS platforms, and live dashboardsRespond quickly to faults, bottlenecks, and disruptions, coordinating with key teams to restore flowEnsure end-to-end alignment between inbound, stock, and outbound functionsLead the response to equipment issues, system faults, or process deviationsMaintain accurate incident logs and ensure appropriate follow-up actions are completedSupport the development and refinement of SOPs, escalation pathways, and control room standardsWhat you need to succeed at GXO:Strong proven experience in a control room, automated environment, or real-time operational management roleStrong understanding of warehouse operations and WMS/WCS systemsConfident in making fast, data-led decisions under pressureExcellent communication skills for cross-functional coordinationStrong analytical skills with experience using dashboards and KPIsWe engineer faster, smarter, leaner supply chains.TPBN1_UKTJ
