Kumho Tyres UK is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our small but fast-paced accounts team. This is a hands-on role offering broad exposure across accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting, with opportunities to support wider finance activities. Key Responsibilities: • Perform daily cash management tasks, including downloading bank statements, updating cash receipts, and maintaining cash flow forecasts, • Reconcile bank accounts and ensure all balances align with the general ledger, • Manage accounts payable processes, including posting invoices, supplier statement reconciliations, and maintaining vendor accounts in SAP, • Carry out regular account reconciliations, including AP ledger reviews and resolving discrepancies, • Support credit control activities, including account reconciliation and allocation of customer payments, • Process staff expenses, Barclaycard reconciliations, and related postings, • Prepare and post journals, including ad hoc and month-end entries, • Assist with monthly reporting requirements, including insurance reporting and sales reconciliations, • Support the month-end close and assist with GL analysis and reporting, • Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems, • Provide cover and support across the finance team as required Requirements: • Minimum 3–5 years of recent experience in a similar accounting role, • Strong experience in credit control, cash allocation, and account reconciliations, • Working knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems preferred, • Proficient in Excel and financial systems, • High level of accuracy and attention to detail, • Ability to prioritise workload in a busy environment, • Flexible, team-oriented, and willing to support across a variety of finance and administrative tasks This role is ideal for someone looking to develop their accounting experience within a dynamic and supportive team environment.
