Electrical Fitter / Panel Wireman People Solutions are excited to be recruiting for an Electrical Fitter / Panel Wireman on behalf of a leading engineering client based in Tipton, West Midlands. This is a hands-on, permanent opportunity offering a competitive salary, regular overtime, and genuine career development within a well-established engineering environment. Shifts: Monday to Friday – rotating AM / PM shifts (Fixed shifts may be available depending on preference) Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 per annum (dependent on experience) Benefits include: Competitive salary package Regular overtime opportunities Flexible shift patterns (rotating or fixed shifts available) Ongoing training and certification Long-term, permanent opportunity with career progression Supportive working environment within a leading engineering business Overtime available Day to Day Duties As an Electrical Fitter / Panel Wireman, your duties will include (but not be limited to): Laying out and installing electrical components within control panels and equipment frameworks Wiring and testing electrical control panels, frame-mounted components, and specialised machinery Installing cable trays, trunking, and conduits to industry standards Interpreting electrical GA drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams Using hand tools, power tools, and crimp tools safely and effectively Collaborating with internal teams to ensure work is completed accurately and safely Supporting both electrical and non-electrical tasks where required Ensuring all work complies with company standards, local procedures, and legislative requirements Adhering to quality, health, and safety procedures and reporting any issues or roadblocks Essential skills To be successful as an Electrical Fitter / Panel Wireman, you will need: Level 3 electrical qualification or completion of a recognised apprenticeship or training scheme Experience wiring control panels and carrying out field wiring Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and GA drawings A self-motivated approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines 18th Edition Electrical Regulations (preferred) Desirable experience MEWP, PASMA, harness, forklift, scissor lift, or scaffold inspection certifications Mechanical fitting experience and the ability to install electrical components accurately Experience marking out dimensions to detailed drawings Previous experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment Training Comprehensive training will be provided, covering company procedures, safe systems of work, and relevant certifications to ensure the highest standards of safety and quality are maintained.
