Chemical Laboratory Analyst Location: Rugby, Warwickshire Type: Permanent, Full-Time Hours: Mon-Thurs 08:30 to 17:15, Friday 08:30 to 16:15. (45min lunch break, 39hrs a week) On Call: 1 in 7 on call rota at weekends (approx. 7 weekends a year) Industry: Wholesale Building Materials / Construction Salary: £36,924k Project Partners are now on the look out for a Chemical Laboratory Analyst to come and join a fantastic, hard-working team based in their office in Rugby, Warwickshire. Job Role: • Responsible for the main laboratory daily activities, such as: ensuring representative sampling, obtaining and presenting accurate analysis, providing quality control advice to operators., • Sampling and analysing all raw materials, process and product samples according to the sampling schedule provided by the Quality Coordinator (QC)., • Sampling, blending and preparing composite samples for customers when needed., • Taking and analysing non-routine samples for process improvement, product development and/or customers’ requirements, specified by supervisor., • Delivering on time and accurate analysis results and quality related information internally and externally., • Monitors raw materials and fuels analysis and escalates when out of specification., • Maintains and improves analysis reporting systems., • Assisting in the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment., • Carries out regular equipment calibration and accuracy, through a variety of methods (drift corrections, standard samples analysis, in-house comparative testing and “Internal Analytical Verification”)., • Maintain housekeeping standards in laboratory, Robolab and storage areas., • Provides information on laboratory consumables levels for inventories management.
