School Administrator – SEN Setting Location: Sittingbourne Contract Type: Full-time / Term-time /Temporary contract A large, well-established SEN school is seeking an experienced and highly organised School Administrator to join their busy and supportive office team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in a specialist environment, supporting both staff and students to ensure the smooth running of daily school operations. Please note: Previous school administration experience is essential for this role. The Role: As a School Administrator, you will be the first point of contact for parents, visitors, and external agencies, providing a professional and welcoming front-of-house service. You will support the wider school team with a range of administrative duties, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency across all processes. Key Responsibilities: • Managing the school reception, handling calls, emails, and visitor enquiries, • Maintaining accurate pupil records using school MIS systems (e.g. SIMS, Arbor, Bromcom), • Supporting attendance monitoring and reporting, • Assisting with admissions and leavers processes, • Liaising with staff, parents, and external professionals, • Providing administrative support to the senior leadership team, • Supporting safeguarding procedures and maintaining confidentiality at all times Requirements: • Proven experience working within a school office (essential), • Experience within an SEN setting is highly desirable, • Strong working knowledge of school systems such as SIMS, Arbor or Bromcom, • Excellent organisational and communication skills, • A calm, patient, and adaptable approach, • Ability to work in a fast-paced, sometimes challenging environment What’s on Offer: • A welcoming and supportive team environment, • The opportunity to make a real difference in a specialist SEN setting, • Ongoing support and development opportunities If you are an experienced School Administrator looking for your next opportunity within a rewarding SEN environment, we would love to hear from you
