We are looking for someone to join us in making a real difference for young people in our Camden Youth Centre The Hive! The Hive is a mental health and wellbeing service. We support young people aged 16 to 24 in Camden who need support transitioning between childrens and adult mental health services. The Hive is a one stop shop model in which we offer help and support with education employment sexual health and substance misuse. We do this through our 3 main service areas: 121 support a drop in social hub and employment services. Our established Young Mens Project is an exciting project to address the gap in young men accessing community mental health support. Using creative and non-verbal activities the post holder will work flexibly with 50 young men aged 16-24 over the year through a variety of male only group work 121 support and community outreach projects. A significant portion of the service operates an outreach model of delivery in the community as preferred by the young person. The outreach work particularly targets vulnerable young people who may not readily engage with services. Main Duties & Accountabilities • Due to a genuine occupational need we are only able to accept male applicants for this role, • To mobilise and embed this new service into The Hive ensuring appropriate governance and compliance are in place., • To lead and ensure the delivery of a high quality service that meet all targets standards and KPIs and to report any areas of under performance to senior management in a timely manner., • The role will require flexibility and skills in adaptability and the appointed person will be expected to carry out tasks over both the 121 support and social hub group work element of the service., • To support the clinical team leads to carry out assessments with young men in order to set goals and create holistic care plans to meet their your 1:1 work. You will be enabling young men to live independent lives. Scaffolding young men to services when appropriate., • To support and engage in the group work element of The Hive service by engaging with young people on the social hub identifying new local partnerships and developing new men only project work for young men to engage in health and wellbeing activities at The Hive., • Act as the single point of contact and specialist worker for the Hive service for young men. Attend multi-agency meetings and engage with key stakeholders to raise awareness of the distinct needs and circumstances of young men and how the service can support them., • Act as point of contact in for our service providing gender based training awareness and developing a differentiated offer to improve the impact and effectiveness of services for young men, • To proactively and continually assess and manage risk of caseload using internal and external safeguarding procedures for escalation and where necessary and adapting case management frequency and methodology to reflect the individual needs and circumstances of young people., • Comply with Catch22 Health and Safety policies and procedures, • To promote and embed Catch22s vision and values in local service delivery, • To deliver changes to process or operating procedures as a result of service user feedback audit outcomes formal evaluation or commissioner requests and proactively contribute to the continual improvement of the service., • To ensure that the diverse needs and aspirations of all groups of service users are considered in service delivery and to enable all service users to fulfil their potential., • Liaise effectively with local partner organisations and other relevant agencies to ensure effective referrals care and risk management as well as ease of transition and referral for young people and to promote the continued joint work of the service and other partners., • To ensure meaningful participation and active co-production with service users and stakeholders., • To manage your time and activities safely and effectively to meet with the priorities and delivery requirements of Catch22; contributing to achieving the standards of care quality and positive outcomes required, • To ensure effective communication and liaison with partner agencies and local groups., • To ensure that young people have ease of access to a range of support mechanisms and services., • To act as an ambassador for Catch22 upholding and promoting our corporate values., • To ensure that all data is recorded monitoring are completed and reports are provided to Catch22 Commissioners Grant funders in line with agreed schedules., • To carry out such other relevant duties as may be required and as are commensurate with the nature and level of this post. Qualifications : • A relevant qualification in a functional/specialist area or equivalent significant operational experience in a relevant specialist area. A BA or BSc degree preferably but not necessarily in a social studies subject e.g. sociology social administration psychology or a teaching youth work nursing substance misuse worker social work Art therapist Music therapist Drama therapist movement therapist or other training relevant for working with vulnerable young men.
