AdicoCare is a family run business with 12 Learning Disability residents.We are currently seeking a Support Worker to join our Lakeside and Ashbridge supported living. Both Locations is a 24-hour supported living scheme supporting adults with high mental health support needs to build the skills to move on independently. The shifts you will be working is Long days (8AM-8PM)n or short days (8Am-2PM, 2PM-8PM), you will be working on a rota bases which will be weekdays and alternative weekends. AdicoCare is looking for a caring person who shares our values and likes helping others is far more important than experience. You must have at least three months UK care experience. We follow the ethos of Positive Behaviour Support, engaging individuals in active support and focusing on community participation. You will support individuals to access meaningful activities in the community and on-site, work with families and professionals and support opportunities to promote daily independence and well-being. Care support worker required to deliver personal care to a very pleasant 36yr old bedbound client with learning and physical disabilities. Client lives at home in HOGSTHORPE with her parents , who also deliver care. The hours are 16 per week Monday 2.30pm -6.30pm , Tuesday to Friday 3 hours 2.30pm - 5.30pm. No weekend working. Experience of caring not essential , but candidates must be kind and empathic. There is a lot of moving and handling with this client using overhead tracking hoist and slide sheets. There is one shower per week using Wetroom. two other carers are also employed. client is of a very happy and pleasant temperament , who presents much younger than her age. all training given by qualified nurse. candidates require driving licence to get to HOGSTHORPE village.
Headway Care is currently recruiting part time Support Workers to work in our 16+ Semi Independent Provision based in Redbridge. We are looking for people who are enthusiastic about supporting young people and helping them develop their independent skills. Our team provides support to young people with a range of different needs, from food shopping and cooking meals to accompanying them at college open days and job interviews. Some young people have complex needs and would require more support. At Headway Care we look to recruit staff that have a passion for helping people and who see working with children in social care as a career path. We do not require that you have experience working in a Semi-Independent provision previously, but we embrace people who can bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the role of a Support Worker. An opportunity for a reliable and organised administrative support worker to assist a physically disabled staff member at a London University for up to 31.5 hours a week (flexibility can be discussed). The post will typically be split between a half day of virtual working on Mondays and three in person work days, either on campus or doing site visits.
