53rd Floor Sky Lounge, Wardian, Canary Wharf E14 Full-time | Tips & Service Charge | Immediate start 🌆 Most bars have a view or a community. The Observatory has both - 53 floors above London. The Observatory is a Sky Bar & Restaurant on the 53rd floor of Wardian, looking out over Canary Wharf and the whole of London. It's one of the highest bars in the city - and it's exclusively for the developments residents & their guests. That last part is what makes this job different from every other Head Bartender role you'll scroll past today (well maybe the views as well). You're not serving a queue of strangers. You're looking after a community of around 1,500 residents & their guests who treat this as their local, their living room and their party venue. Regulars come in weekly. You'll know their names, their drinks and their birthdays. It has the feel of a private members' club, without the stiffness. We're looking for someone to take real ownership of it. 🚀 THE ROLE You'll help run The Observatory Bar day to day - leading the small team, keeping cocktail and service standards high, and being the face residents come to. Alongside that, the venue hosts a busy year-round events calendar: birthdays, engagements, weddings, seasonal parties and private hires, plus the events we programme ourselves. To be clear about the events side: you're the host, not the event planner. Our dedicated events team handles the logistics, the planning and the bigger productions. Your part is being the person residents talk to, helping shape the drinks and the feel of the night, and delivering it brilliantly on the day. If you've worked functions or private hires before, you'll be right at home. If you're a superb bartender who's keen to grow into that side, we'll teach you. Day to day you'll: • Lead from the front behind the bar, delivering excellent cocktails and genuine hospitality, • Take ownership of the running of the bar - standards, stock, ordering, prep and organisation, • Build real relationships with residents and be their first point of contact for bookings, • Look after resident celebrations and private hires from enquiry through to the night itself, • Lead, train and develop the team, • Work with our events team on the larger bookings and the annual events calendar, • Grow the events side of the venue and get residents using the space more, • Work with senior management on drinks menus, and where The Observatory goes next as we enter an exciting new chapter. 💥 WHAT YOU'LL GET • Tips and service charge on top of your pay., • ⏰ Sociable hours. We open at 4pm on weekdays and midday at weekends. No breakfast shifts, no 3am finishes, no split shifts., • Genuine ownership of a unique venue rather than one site among many, • 📈 Room to grow. We're a multi-site London group - Supershakes, Beringers, Lockdown, The Eleventh Hour - and we'd far rather promote from within than recruit in., • Involvement in menu development, supplier tastings and the events programme, • Staff food and drinks on shift, plus discounts across all our venues, • Support from an experienced events and senior hospitality team, • A team that actually enjoys working together, • days holiday 🔥 WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR • Solid bartending experience, ideally with time in a management or senior role, • Strong cocktail knowledge and consistency under pressure, • Some experience of events, functions or private hires - or real appetite to learn it, • A natural host who genuinely likes people and remembers them, • Organised, proactive and comfortable owning a space, • Calm and confident through a busy service, • Someone who cares about the details, because our regulars notice them And honestly: we're looking for someone who wants to stay. Building a relationship with a community of regulars takes time, and it's the best part of this job - but only if you're here long enough to enjoy it. If you're looking for somewhere to settle, put your stamp on and grow with, this is it. ⚡ WHY THIS ONE There aren't many jobs like this in London. One shift you're making cocktails for a couple who come in every Friday. The next you're helping them plan their engagement party, 53 floors above the city. If that sounds like the kind of place you'd like to run, we'd love to meet you. Apply now and let's have a chat 👋

Floor Manager Italian restaurant — Belsize Park, London £19 per hour · 45 hours per week · Full-time, permanent We're a premium Italian restaurant that's been open two years. The systems work, the bookings are steady and a good part of the room is made up of regulars who know the team by name. We're not looking for someone to fix a broken operation. That means: • Leading service across busy à la carte shifts, from the first cover to the last, • Managing and developing the front of house team on shift — briefing them, setting the pace, holding the standard, • Owning the guest experience, from the welcome at the door to the goodbye, • Running bookings, covers and table flow on OpenTable, • Working closely with the kitchen so the pass and the floor stay in step through the rush, • Handling feedback and sorting problems while the guest is still in the building What we need from you • At least 5 years' proven floor experience in à la carte restaurants, • Real knowledge of Italian food — you can talk a guest through the menu, recommend with confidence and answer properly when they ask, • Confident on OpenTable — you can manage the book, not just open it, • Tested on busy services — you stay calm, you make decisions quickly and you keep the room moving when it's full, • Genuine team management — you lead a section of people on shift, you don't just work alongside them, • The right to live and work in the UK, • Availability to work full-time, following the weekly rota, • Excellent spoken English and comprehension — you'll be leading a team and looking after guests throughout service What we offer • £19 per hour, 45 hours per week — around £44,400 a year, • 2 days off every week, on a rota agreed in advance, • 28 days paid holiday a year, including bank holidays, • Monthly payslip, paid on time, every time, • Shared tips on top of your hourly rate, • Two years of established systems, a settled team and a stable clientele — you'll spend your time managing, not firefighting Please note we can only consider applications that meet all the requirements above.

Sales Floor Manager — Build It, Run It, Own the Upside
    2 months ago
    £3000–£10000 monthly
    Full-time
    London

Commission-only · Uncapped · Ground floor · Full-time London (in-person + phone) & Dubai (phone) I'll be straight with you, because the right person will respect that more than a polished pitch. We're Strive AI. We build AI systems for local businesses — the kind of tech that answers every call, books appointments and chases leads 24/7 for salons, clinics, gyms, restaurants and trades. The product is genuinely good and the market is wide open. We're also new. I'm not going to dress that up. There's no big team to inherit, no years of case studies, no safety net. What there is: a working product, a proven sales process, a dashboard that runs the whole operation, and a founder who builds fast and pays properly. So this isn't a job for someone who wants comfortable. It's for someone who looks at "early-stage" and sees the opportunity instead of the risk. The role You build and run the sales floor. Not sell — manage the people who sell. • Hire. Find hungry, reliable people who'll treat this like the 9-5 it is — walking into businesses in London and closing face to face, and running phone outreach in Dubai., • Interview. Screen and interview applicants using the questions and process we give you. You won't be guessing — you'll be running a system., • Onboard & train. We'll teach you exactly how the method works, then you teach it to every person you bring on., • Manage, properly. This is the real job. Daily check-ins, holding people to their numbers, keeping the floor motivated and moving. The tools to track all of it are already built — your job is to use them and stay on top of people who need staying on top of., • Scale. Grow this into a floor of 50+ that consistently closes. Who I'm looking for • Someone who's managed or built a sales team before, or knows in their bones they can., • A proper operator — organised, relentless on follow-up, comfortable holding people accountable without being soft or being a tyrant., • Someone who genuinely wants to take a bet on something early and own a piece of the outcome., • Hard worker. Full stop. This is a pure play — you put the work in, you win big. You coast, you earn nothing. The deal 6% commission on every deal your team closes Plus £75 for every rep you hire who lands their first close. It's commission-only and I won't pretend otherwise. But do the maths on a floor of 50 people each closing 8–12 deals a month and you're looking at a six-figure income you built yourself and control entirely. Uncapped. No ceiling I'm putting on you. If you want a salary to sit still for, this isn't it. If you want to build something and get paid like an owner for it, let's talk. Apply Message me with: 1. Where you've managed or built a team before (or why you know you can)., 2. Why an early-stage, commission-only bet appeals to you rather than scares you off., 3. How many hours a week you can genuinely commit. Serious applicants only. I'll move fast for the right person. — Scarlett, Founder, Strive AI
