Senior SCADA Engineer Representative (Commissioning) Contract Duration: 1 April 2026 – 30 April 2027 Application Deadline: 10 March 2026 Position: 1 Consultant We are supporting an international developer in securing a Senior SCADA Engineer Representative to support the commissioning of large scale electrical systems within major energy infrastructure projects. This role focuses on leading and coordinating all SCADA commissioning activities across factory, site and integrated testing environments. This is a senior level assignment requiring a consultant who can operate independently, manage multiple commissioning interfaces, and ensure full compliance with project and regulatory standards from day one. Key Responsibilities The Senior SCADA Engineer Representative will be responsible for the independent supervision, planning and execution of SCADA commissioning activities, including: • Coordinating and overseeing FAT, SAT, SIT and on site SCADA commissioning., • Ensuring full compliance with project specifications, National Grid requirements, HSE rules, and local legislation., • Managing day‑to‑day SCADA commissioning on site, including supervision of contractors and quality assurance oversight., • Signing off contractor checklists, validating test documentation and driving completion of snag lists., • Developing and maintaining the SCADA Commissioning Plan, including scope, QA/QC requirements and timeline management., • Providing structured progress reporting to project management., • Coordinating closely with SCADA contractors, Electrical Commissioning Managers and other stakeholders to align activities with the overall project commissioning strategy., • Delivering commissioning for communication networks, radio and telephone systems, Substation Control Systems (SCS), WTG SCADA, metering, grid compliance systems and where relevant; VTMS., • Ensuring all commissioning work adheres to internal and external compliance requirements. Requirements To be considered, candidates must meet the following criteria: • Mandatory prior experience working on projects with similar governance structures, commissioning practices, and documentation standards., • Extensive hands on experience in SCADA commissioning for large scale infrastructure or energy projects., • Proven expertise with Hitachi MicroSCADA and Substation Control Systems., • Strong knowledge of National Grid compliance requirements, with the ability to manage grid‑related SCADA interfaces without escalation., • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience supported by a B.Sc. in a technical field or equivalent., • Experience with IPMA B/C, PMP, or similar project management frameworks (advantageous)., • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to work in high pressure commissioning environments., • Valid GWO certification (required), with willingness and ability to support short offshore commissioning assignments if needed., • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision after initial onboarding.
