Senior Bid Manager\nLocation: Home-based (with occasional travel to Lichfield, Staffordshire)\nHours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week\n\nAbout the Role\nWe have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Bid Manager to lead end-to-end tender management within our busy and fast-paced tendering team. You will work on public sector tenders in the health and social care sector, supporting and deputising for the Head of Bids and Tendering. The role includes drafting and writing high-quality bid content, coordinating Bid Writers, and contributing to business growth through successful tender submissions.\nYou’ll be at the heart of every aspect of tender development, ensuring submissions are compliant, compelling, and aligned with Voyage Care’s strategic goals.\nAbout Voyage Care\nVoyage Care provides specialist support for people with learning disabilities, autism, head and spinal injuries, and other complex conditions. With over 30 years of experience, our 11,000+ passionate staff support more than 3,500 vulnerable adults and children across the UK in residential, supported living, and outreach services.\nWe have ambitious growth plans over the next 5–10 years, and this role is key to delivering that agenda responsibly and sustainably.\nKey Responsibilities\n\nAnalyse tender documents, create launch materials, and lead launch calls.\nGather and translate information into persuasive, competitive tender submissions.\nWrite original, high-quality content that meets compliance and clarity standards.\nIncludes drafting and writing high-quality bid content.\nCollaborate with Bid Writers and oversee their contributions to tenders.\nEnsure accurate and timely completion of tender documentation, including portal submissions.\nConduct final portal checks to ensure full compliance.\nMaintain reporting and contribute to the team’s information library.\nCoach and support Bid Managers and Bid Writers in their development.\nHelp meet team targets and objectives.\nLiaise with internal departments to ensure accurate and current information is used.\nFollow agreed management and review processes to ensure quality and auditability\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\n\nDegree-level qualification.\nMinimum three years’ experience in bid management within the social care sector, ideally including Voyage Care’s specialisms.\nExcellent written communication skills.\nStrong knowledge of public procurement in health and social care.\nHigh computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint).\nStrong project management, planning, and time-management skills.\nConfident verbal and presentational communication.\nWillingness to work in a hybrid model, attending the office when required.\nCommitment to delivering consistently high-qualityBenefits\n\nPension scheme and life assurance.\nLong service awards.\nComprehensive induction and ongoing training.\n25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.\nEmployee discount app for retail and leisure.\nFunded Blue Light Card.\nEnhanced family leave.\nFree 24/7 external counselling service.\nWagestream app – access your pay as you earn it.\nRefer-a-friend\n\nJoin Us\nIf you’re ready to help us change lives through exceptional care and support, we’d love to hear from you
