Following on from the success of Hinkley Point C (HPC), the SZC Project is a nuclear new build project in Suffolk, which has obtained planning approval and Government financing support. The project has started construction and is now seeking private investment. When completed, it will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for 60 years, which along with renewables, will support Britain to achieve Net Zero by 2050. Job Purpose / Overview: Sizewell C (SZC) Limited is an independent, standalone UK energy generation utility, responsible for the design, procurement, construction, commissioning, operation and decommissioning of two UK EPR reactors on the Suffolk coast. There are three programmes within the project that this role will support from the Delivery Integration Function: • Civil Works Programme (CWP), • Nuclear Island Programme (NIP) Reporting to the Interface Management Lead, the Interface Process Manager will: • Play a pivotal role within the Delivery Integration function, responsible for developing, documenting, and implementing robust processes and procedures that ensure effective interface management across the Project., • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather and keep up to date with the varying requirements for the interface management of different programmes and functions., • Ensure that all Interface Management processes and procedures are clearly communicated and adhered to., • Foster a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration between the interface engineers across all Programmes to align Interface Management practice., • Create training material and deliver to interface engineers (and associated stakeholders) to provide them with support for monitoring and co-ordinating interfaces throughout the Project., • Work in alignment with the Integrated Management System (IMS), Teamcenter, and Contract Baseline Library (CBL), ensuring strong collaboration with the quality team and document control team. Principal Accountabilities: Reporting to the SZC Interface Management Lead, the Interface Process Manager has overall responsibility for facilitating the implementation of the Interface Management Plan throughout the project life cycle by performing the following actions: • Creating and maintaining Project specific Interface Management processes., • Responsible for spreading awareness of the processes and procedures across the wider project, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and aligned with the Project's interface management practices., • Monitoring and evaluating the performance of processes and procedures related to Interface Management, implementing enhancements as necessary., • Creating the tools and systems required by the Interface Management team to carry out its responsibilities and report on interfaces., • Conduct regular audits and reviews of Interface Management practice to maintain high standards of quality and compliance., • Ensure alignment with document control governance, adhering to IMS templates and Sizewell C requirements. Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications, Experience Knowledge & Skills: • Exceptional writing and documentation skills, with the ability to translate complex requirements into clear, actionable procedures., • Strong analytical skills to assess current processes and identify areas for improvement with the ability to develop innovative solutions to streamline processes and enhance efficiency., • An understanding of the challenges faced within interface management on a large infrastructure/engineering project (or similar) on-site experience, knowledge of construction activities, approaches, standards and expectations., • Be self-driven, able to cope in a changing environment and able to deliver to tight deadlines as well as lead with minimal supervision., • Good project management skills., • Use of innovative thinking to overcome challenges and implement solutions which minimise both disruption to third party and to effective project delivery., • Understanding and communicating complex technical and commercial issues to the satisfaction of key stakeholders., • The ability to build, maintain and manage key internal and external stakeholder relationships, addressing their diverse expectations and potentially conflicting agendas, fostering their optimal engagement and contribution to the development and implementation of effective strategies and plans to manage stakeholders., • General professional qualities such as accuracy, attention to detail, tenacity, result-oriented, the ability to work well within a team, Good organisational skills and the ability to work independently and be proactive., • Strong assurance and challenge skills with excellent communication/interpersonal skills notably with various levels of the organisation and externally., • Discretion - Confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information. Qualifications & Experience Required: • Relevant tertiary qualifications or demonstrated equivalent professional experience., • Experience in Interface Management on a complex engineering delivery for a major infrastructure project., • Experience managing interface management issues on a large infrastructure/engineering project (or similar) on-site experience, knowledge of construction activities, approaches, standards and expectations.
