Role Overview The Chef de Partie is responsible for running a specific section of the kitchen efficiently and maintaining the highest standards of food preparation, presentation, and hygiene. You’ll work closely with the senior kitchen team to ensure consistency, speed, and quality in every dish served. Key Responsibilities Prepare, cook, and present dishes within your section to company and brand standards. Maintain control of stock rotation, minimize waste, and ensure correct storage procedures. Ensure your section is set up, stocked, and ready for service. Follow recipes and specifications accurately to maintain consistency. Support and train Commis Chefs or junior team members. Uphold all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards. Communicate effectively with the rest of the kitchen and front-of-house teams. Take responsibility for cleaning, labeling, and organizing your section at all times. Work flexibly during busy periods to support other sections as needed. Requirements A minimum of 3 years previous experience as a Chef de Partie or strong experience as a Demi CDP. Strong knowledge of kitchen sections (grill, larder, sauce, garnish, pastry, etc.). Excellent understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene standards (Level 2 Food Safety minimum). Ability to perform well under pressure and maintain composure during busy service. Positive attitude, team-focused mindset, and willingness to learn and grow. Basic qualifications A minimum experience of 3 years in a similar role within the food industry, particularly in fine dining or catering environments.
