Job Title: Principal Hydrologist Ref. No.: CJD2102J26 Location: Based near Exeter Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 This is a fantastic opportunity to join my client, an eco-conscious, market-leading Multidisciplinary Consultancy, renowned for delivering their expertise throughout the engineering and environmental landscapes, delivering major, exciting projects across the UK. They are currently looking for a talented, enthusiastic Principal Hydrologist, willing to lead a high-performing team and deliver on an extensive range of projects, whilst contributing to Business Development (BD) activities. You will be based near the cultural, richly-historic city of Exeter. Benefits for the role of Principal Hydrologist include (but are not limited to): • Competitive salary (commensurate with experience), • Contributory pension scheme, • General annual leave (with option to purchase additional leave), • Regular training and mentoring, with a focus on career development, • Private healthcare scheme, • Childcare vouchers, • Lead the preparation of technical documents for submission, to include Flood Risk Assessments (FRA), Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), etc., • Manage projects, delivering them to schedule and within budget, • Liaise closely with a range of important clients and other stakeholders, such as the Environment Agency, Lead Local Flood Authorities (LLFA), etc., • Check and amend technical documents (e.g., models, calculations, reports, etc.) prepared by colleagues, • Actively identify and contribute to Business Development opportunities and activities, • A UK Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or similar, • Chartered Status with a relevant, recognised Professional Body (e.g., CIWEM, etc.), • Extensive experience of working in a hydrological role, within a UK-based consultancy (or Local Authority) setting, • Excellent proficiency in the use of relevant software systems, including FEH, WINFAP, Flood Modeller, HEC-RAS, WinDES, and AutoCAD, • Outstanding communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and organisational skills, • An advanced qualification in a relevant discipline
