Overview We are currently recruiting for a Design Engineer on behalf of a well-established, globally recognised manufacturing business. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing product development team, supporting the design and development of innovative products from concept through to production. You will play a key role across the full product lifecycle, working on high-quality engineered solutions used in both UK and international markets. Key Responsibilities Design & Development • Produce 3D models, assemblies, and detailed engineering drawings using Solid Edge CAD, • Translate concepts and customer requirements into manufacturable designs, • Contribute to new product development and continuous improvement initiatives Engineering & Technical Documentation • Create manufacturing drawings, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and assembly instructions, • Support prototype builds, testing, and validation activities, • Ensure designs meet industry standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements Collaboration • Work closely with internal teams including product development, operations, and production, • Liaise with suppliers on materials, manufacturing processes, and feasibility, • Support product launches with technical input and documentation Problem Solving • Troubleshoot design issues and deliver effective engineering solutions, • Maintain accurate CAD data and documentation, • Manage multiple projects and priorities effectively Requirements • Strong CAD experience – Solid Edge is essential, • Background in Product Design Engineering / Mechanical Engineering or similar, • Experience producing 3D models, drawings, and technical documentation, • Good understanding of manufacturing processes (fabrication, machining, plastics, assembly), • High attention to detail and accuracy, • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach, • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills, • Ability to manage workload and adapt to changing priorities What’s on Offer • Opportunity to work on innovative, real-world engineering projects, • Exposure to full product lifecycle, • Collaborative and supportive team environment, • Career development within a growing, internationally active business Apply Now If you’re a Product Design Engineer looking for your next challenge, apply today or contact us for more information
