The opportunity Delaware North Sportservice is searching for an Assistant General Manager to join our team at UBS Arena in Elmont, New York. We are seeking a Food and Beverage leader with over 5+ years of food and beverage experience who will oversee our suites, clubs, catering, restaurants, concessions, and retail operations. Pay Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $119,500 - $161,300 / year In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. These are just some of the benefits we offer: • Medical, dental, and vision insurance, • 401(k) with up to 4% company match, • Annual performance bonus based on level, as well as individual, company, and location performance, • Paid vacation days and holidays, • Paid parental bonding leave, • Tuition and/or professional certification reimbursement, • Generous friends-and-family discounts at many of our hotels and resorts What will you do? • Assist General Manager in setting short- and long-term departmental goals and objectives that cover a range of areas, including people development, company policies and operating budgets, • Oversee season planning process ensuring alignment with Delaware North, client expectations, and operational goals, • Engages in the financial goals of the operation with support from the General Manager in budget planning, P&L management, financial reporting, action plans, and projections to ensure cash, inventory, and payroll procedures are in place, • Review financial reports and developing action plans to best achieve business goals, • Collaborate with culinary leadership and partners to drive menu development and associated operational enhancements, • Identify opportunities and drive continual improvement in our location operations, • Hire, train, and develop the team and ensure all team members at the unit are supported and managed effectively to provide an optimal experience for guests and team members, • Conducts regularly scheduled meetings to ensure lines of communication are open between management and team members, • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, guests, subcontractors, not-for-profits and Delaware North team members, • Maintains state, federal and business compliance, including responsible alcohol service guidelines, safety and sanitation standards, and client requirements, • Special projects as assigned by upper management More about you • A minimum of 5 years of food and beverage leadership experience in a high-volume arena, ballpark, or stadium setting is required, • Prior experience working in a multi-sport property a plus, • Bachelor's degree in hospitality, Business Management, or a relatable discipline is preferred, • Operational financial management, profit and loss management, financial reporting, and budgeting are required, • Ability to build foundational relationships with excellent oral, written, and communications skills, • Strong commitment to client and guest engagement will be critical to this individual's success, • Prior labor relations, union exposure, and CBA negotiations preferred, • Ability to lead and make decisions in a fast-paced high-pressure environment, • Strong technical skills and POS system experience required Shift details Events Evenings as needed Holidays Evenings Who we are UBS Arena is a multi-purpose arena in Elmont, New York, next to the Belmont Park race track.
