Job Description Lone Star Paving is a paving contractor operating in the Central Texas region with paving crews, HMA, aggregate, trucking, milling, and quality control. Our operations complete heavy highway and civil projects throughout Texas. Position Overview The Haul Truck Driver will work hand in hand with the Operations Manager to determine the prime schedule in transporting equipment to and from various job locations. The ideal candidate is familiar with paving operations in heavy highways and keeps safety at the forefront. Key Responsibilities • Transport equipment to various job locations., • Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order, • Performs daily preventative maintenance, record and inspection on vehicles to include fueling, cleaning, tire/light inspection, checking and adding fluids as needed., • Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections., • Familiarity with Texas area and roadways, • Understands the complexities of the asphalt industry, • Complete trip tickets and paperwork, • Utilize phone and apps to track start and end time and travel, • Keeping the vehicle clean and fitting company standards, • Carries out daily preventative maintenance, records, and inspection on vehicles to include fueling, cleaning, tire/light inspection, checking and adding fluids as needed., • Performs and logs pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Job DescriptionSalary: POSITION OVERVIEW The Operations Engineering Manager (engineering manager) will be responsible for leading WETTs operations engineering team. In this role, the engineering manager will oversee multiple functions which include outage studies and coordination, system modeling, fault event analysis, equipment performance analysis, asset management, and operations controls. The engineering manager is responsible for providing technical support and analysis to system operations and field operations staff, responding to technical requisitions, and developing technical procedures and specifications. Additionally, the engineering manager will be responsible for leading the development of WETTs synchronous condenser program to ensure adequate technical support and oversight is provided by internal engineering resources. This position will be located in Austin, TX, and will report to the Operations Director. DUTIES, FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Lead a team of technical staff, including WETTs supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) team and system operations engineering team., • Provide technical direction and oversight for system outage studies. Coordinate outage requirements and switching solutions with various stakeholder such as ERCOT, project management, construction, and field operations teams., • Conduct system studies and determine real time and future system conditions, contingencies, and base case violations., • Develop and lead engineering program focused on WETTs synchronous condenser assets. Job Description Lone Star Paving is a paving contractor, operating in the Central Texas region with paving crews, HMA, aggregate, trucking, milling, and quality control. Our operations complete heavy highway and civil projects throughout Texas. Position Overview The Heavy Paving Equipment/Diesel Mechanic will work closely with the Milling, Asphalt, and Maintenance Teams to ensure company-owned tools, equipment and vehicles are always maintained in good working order, consistent with direction provided by his/her direct manager. The ideal candidate has experience with maintenance of paving equipment, particularly asphalt milling machines, and a thorough understanding of asphalt work. Key Responsibilities • Evaluate condition of defective tools, equipment and fleet vehicles located at the Yard or at construction job sites; collaborate with the Equipment Manager in trouble shooting defective equipment and participate in discussions to arrive to solutions for dealing with defective items., • For items requiring more extensive or unusual repairs, prepare an estimate of cost to complete repair and seek authorization to proceed from the Equipment Manager before commencing repair., • Following a standard maintenance schedule developed collaboratively with the Equipment Manager, perform routine maintenance on company-owned tools, equipment and vehicles. Ensure that maintenance is performed on schedule, to standard and that accurate logs of such maintenance are kept up to date., • Place approved orders for replacement parts with vendors; ensure that the Equipment Manager is informed of all such deliveries and that all associated paperwork is provided to the Equipment Manager in a timely manner., • Before departing work each day, ensure that the shop area is neat, clean and orderly; all tools are stored in their proper place and the shop surfaces are free of trash and debris., • Additional responsibilities as may be assumed or assigned from time to time in support of our company's effort to achieve client loyalty.
