Job Description About the Role Wetlands Incorporated is hiring a Senior Construction Project Manager to lead public works, civil/site, DOT, parks, streetscape, landscape construction, drainage, grading, concrete, asphalt, environmental restoration, and infrastructure projects throughout New Jersey and New York. This is a senior leadership role for someone who understands both the office and field sides of construction. The right candidate can manage multiple projects, mentor project managers, work directly with ownership, protect project profitability, lead client communication, and keep work moving from award through closeout. Responsibilities • Manage multiple construction projects from award through final closeout., • Lead project planning, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, execution, billing, and closeout., • Supervise, support, and mentor Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and Project Coordinators., • Review contracts, drawings, specifications, estimates, schedules, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project correspondence., • Track budgets, committed costs, cost-to-complete, labor, equipment, materials, subcontractors, trucking, billing, cash flow, and profitability., • Coordinate with owners, public agencies, engineers, inspectors, subcontractors, suppliers, superintendents, foremen, and field crews., • Lead project meetings and represent Wetlands professionally with public and private clients., • Prepare, review, and negotiate change orders, extra work, claims, and contract modifications., • Oversee monthly requisitions, AIA billing, project documentation, punch lists, as-builts, warranties, and closeout., • Identify project risks early and solve issues affecting schedule, cost, quality, safety, or production., • Help improve project management procedures, reporting, documentation, and internal systems. Required Qualifications • 8+ years of construction project management experience., • Experience managing multiple construction projects at the same time., • Experience supervising or mentoring PMs, APMs, coordinators, or project teams., • Strong public works, civil/site, DOT, landscape construction, parks, streetscape, infrastructure, or environmental restoration experience., • Strong understanding of contracts, plans, specifications, schedules, RFIs, submittals, change orders, cost tracking, billing, and closeout., • Ability to work closely with field operations and understand labor, equipment, materials, production, and jobsite needs., • Strong leadership, communication, organization, documentation, and problem-solving skills., • Valid driver’s license and ability to visit jobsites throughout NJ/NY. Preferred Experience • NJDOT, NYCDOT, NJ Transit, Port Authority, county, municipal, school, park, or other public agency work., • Union labor and prevailing wage projects., • AIA billing, certified payroll coordination, public bid documents, agency paperwork, and project closeout., • Heavy civil, site development, drainage, grading, utilities, concrete, asphalt, hardscape, planting, irrigation, and restoration work., • OSHA 30., • Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, Environmental Science, or related field preferred but not required with strong experience.
