Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: CT Technologist, • Discipline: Allied Health Professional, • Start Date: 05/04/2026, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 40 hours per week, • Shift: 8 hours, nights, • Perform complex CT procedures with a high level of professionalism.\n, • Utilize professional judgment to review and obtain patients' clinical histories for procedures, ensuring accurate documentation in the PACS system.\n, • Prepare, screen, and verify the accuracy of contrast questionnaires with patients or family members, documenting in the EPIC system.\n, • Identify and administer contrast media related to CT exams as prescribed by licensed practitioners.\n, • Review patient prescriptions for exam appropriateness; communicate with radiologists and referring physicians if clarification is needed.\n, • Verify insurance authorization for exam scripts and coordinate with the finance department for re-verification, if necessary.\n, • Obtain outside studies and schedule them in the EPIC system to ensure availability for radiologists comparison.\n, • Provide exam copies to patients and requesting physicians or family members.\n, • Evaluate radiographs using the PACS system to ensure proper identification and diagnostic value.\n, • Gather relevant patient information from medical records and healthcare providers to prepare scanning protocols with an emphasis on patient safety.\n, • Determine patient preparedness for procedures, including necessary pre-scanning measures such as shielding and immobilization.\n, • Administer appropriate types and doses of contrast media.\n, • Provide clear explanations and instructions to patients at a level they can understand, addressing any questions or concerns during the procedure.\n, • Perform venipuncture, IV patency checks, and maintenance procedures according to established guidelines.\n, • Monitor patients for any adverse reactions during the procedure.\n, • Commit to scheduled shifts, including holidays and weekends, and work overtime as needed to ensure quality patient care.\n, • Lift, push, or pull a minimum of 25 lbs. and 50 lbs. respectively, while standing for a minimum of 6 hours per day.\n, • Identify and address the needs of diverse patient populations, adapting care to specific needs such as age, culture, and language.\n, • Adhere to organizational competencies and standards of behavior as outlined by the institution.\n\n\nRequired Skills & Experience\n\n, • Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and radiological positioning.\n, • Familiarity with CT software and hardware.\n, • Thorough understanding of the PACS system.\n, • Maintain continuing education unit (CEU) credits.\n, • Achieve ARRT (CT) certification within twelve months of hire.\n, • Obtain American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification within three months of hire.\n\n\nPreferred Skills & Experience\n\n, • Six months of CT experience is preferred.\n, • Required: Graduate of a Radiologic Technologist program and a high school diploma or equivalent.\n, • Preferred: None specified.\n\n\nCertifications & Licensure\n\n, • Required: NJ DEP Diagnostic Radiography License, ARRT Certified R.T.(R) license, and American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.\n Modern Healthcare Solutions Job ID #36551162.
