We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance, housekeeping operations, safety, and technology infrastructure of our private members' club in New York City. This role is responsible for ensuring Moss's physical spaces are maintained to the highest standards of appearance, functionality, and safety while supporting daily operations and delivering a seamless and efficient environment for members, guests, and staff alike. The Facilities Manager plays a critical hands-on and strategic role, partnering with leadership to uphold Moss's operational excellence and brand standards. This position ensures that all building systems and technical infrastructure are functioning efficiently, coordinates maintenance and repair projects, and provides light technology and systems support to ensure uninterrupted business operations. Key responsibilities include overseeing third-party vendors and contracted staff for housekeeping, maintenance, and security services; managing preventive maintenance programs; coordinating repairs, renovations, and facility upgrades; ensuring compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations; and implementing processes and systems to enhance operational efficiency and sustainability. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong technical expertise, exceptional organizational and communication skills, and a service-oriented, solutions-driven approach to all aspects of facilities management. This position reports directly to the Director of Business Operations, who oversees all operational functions of Moss, including facilities, safety, and technology. COMPENSATION: The salary wage for this position is $90,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on experience. CLASSIFICATION: This is an exempt, salaried position. In accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), you are not eligible for overtime pay. Your compensation is intended to cover all hours required to fulfill the responsibilities of your role. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintenance and Repairs * Oversee and coordinate preventive, routine, and emergency maintenance for building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, pool, sauna, and mechanical components. * Manage the upkeep of interiors and exteriors, ensuring all areas are clean, safe, and well-presented. * Maintain logs, inspection reports, and maintenance schedules to ensure compliance and accountability. Technical and Systems Support * Serve as the on-site liaison for basic IT and AV support, including troubleshooting Wi-Fi, printer, and conference room technology issues. * Coordinate with external IT providers for escalated support and system upgrades. * Maintain inventory of tech equipment and assist with user setup for new hires (e.g., workstation configuration, access permissions, etc.). * Support the integration and maintenance of building management systems and smart technology platforms. Project Management * Plan, coordinate, and execute facility-related projects. * Manage project budgets, timelines, and communication with vendors and internal stakeholders. * Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within scope, and aligned with brand and operational standards. Vendor and Staff Management * Supervise outsourced maintenance, janitorial, and facilities support teams. * Source, negotiate, and manage vendor contracts for cleaning, security, waste removal, landscaping, and other services. * Oversee vendor performance to ensure quality, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness. Health, Safety, and Security * Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal health, safety, and environmental regulations. * Conduct regular safety inspections, coordinate fire drills, and maintain records of safety certifications. * Oversee building access systems and coordinate with security personnel to maintain a secure environment. Operations and Efficiency * Monitor facility systems and utilities to improve energy efficiency and reduce operational costs. * Maintain facility-related inventory and manage procurement of supplies and equipment. * Implement process improvements that enhance operational effectiveness and sustainability.
