Job Description Key Responsibilities: Process & Continuous Improvement 1. Review and optimize manufacturing methods, processes, tools, fixtures, drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), material flows, facility layouts, routers, and production schedules to improve efficiency and reduce waste., 2. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, safety, and productivity in alignment with company KPIs., 3. Develop and implement process improvements to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and IPC manufacturing standards. a. Documentation & Quality Control 4. Create, update, and maintain all manufacturing documentation, including assembly instructions, testing procedures, and work instructions., 5. Generate and manage technical reports, corrective and preventive action (CAPA) reports, service notices, and other controlled documents., 6. Document quality issues and nonconformances in the ERP system and drive root cause analysis and corrective actions., 7. Function as a quality control lead—verifying that work performed by assembly technicians complies with IPC and internal quality standards., 8. Oversee and document the RMA and repair process, ensuring accurate traceability and timely resolution of customer returns. Production Support & Leadership 1. Supervise and support daily manufacturing activities of a small assembly and test team, ensuring on-time delivery and consistent quality., 2. Participate in hands-on equipment assembly and testing as needed to support production and prototype builds., 3. Troubleshoot product and process issues during manufacturing and customer return evaluations, coordinating solutions with engineering and quality teams., 4. Provide technical guidance and training to technicians on assembly methods, documentation, and best practices. Equipment & Supplier Management 1. Develop and maintain preventive and corrective maintenance routines for production equipment; establish a calibration system for critical tools and instruments., 2. Support the qualification and evaluation of suppliers in collaboration with purchasing and quality teams. Preferred Qualifications 1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience in a relevant technical field., 2. Strong understanding of electrical systems and their integration into mechanical assemblies., 3. 3–7 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing, production engineering, or electromechanical assembly environments., 4. Proficiency in both electrical and mechanical systems—capable of troubleshooting, process improvement, and system-level problem solving., 5. Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems such as Odoo, SAP, or NetSuite., 6. Experience implementing or working under ISO 9001, Lean Manufacturing, and 5S principles., 7. Familiarity with IPC-A-610/620 and/or IPC-7711/7721 standards for electronic assembly and rework., 8. Excellent critical thinking, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills., 9. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in a second language such as Mandarin Chinese is a plus., 10. Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable, with the ability to take initiative and assume leadership responsibilities when needed.
