Job Description Panadero Assistant (Mexican Bread) Job Description It is the Panadero Assistant's role to be responsible for preparing food products in adherence to La Familia Cortez Restaurants' high-quality and sanitation standards. Strict adherence to standardized recipes is critical and must be maintained at all times. Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested by other Team Leaders and/or Managers at any time. Duties, Responsibilities & Requirements: • Experienced in the making of Mexican Pan Dulce (pastries), • Assist with preparation, cooking, baking, packing;, • Assist in the preparation of bread, cookies, cupcakes, and pan dulces;, • Prepares all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner;, • Understand kitchen equipment and the operation of the equipment;, • Follows recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the restaurant;, • Assists in keeping all food storage areas, refrigerator, freezer, etc. clean and organized;, • Handles, stores, and rotates all food items properly;, • Cleans and maintains station in practicing good safety, sanitation, and organizational skills;, • Assists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen, walk-in coolers, and all storage areas, • Performs additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by the Bakery Supervisor. Physical Requirements: • Must be able to stand for long periods of time;, • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds;, • Must be able to work in extreme kitchen temperatures;, • Must be able to work shifts of varying amounts of times and hours, including Overnight, mornings, weekends, and holidays;, • Food Handler Certification (Required)
