Job DescriptionCompany Background: JWCH Institute is a Federally Qualified Health Center. It is the largest non-government provider of homeless health and supportive services in Los Angeles County. Department of Health Services (DHS), in the Housing for Health program, funds MLK Recuperative Care Center (RCC). MLK RCC is a 96-bed program and it temporarily offers a 33-bed COVID unit (inclusive of the 96 beds). MLK RCC provides intensive case management, behavioral healthcare and satellite medical clinic services, on-site. Additionally, MLK RCC provides supportive services to the chronically homeless, those with behavioral health diagnosis and those with chronic medical conditions. Position Purpose: The MLK Recuperative Care Center (RCC) Housing Nurse Manager will participate as part of the management team at MLK RCC. The Nurse Manager will be responsible for clinical oversight of the recuperative care clinic and nursing functions. He or she will oversee Registered Nurses, Licensed Vocational Nurses. The Nurse Manager position is responsible for conducting functional and technical training in alignment with agency and funding source policies and procedures. The Nurse Manager will receive guidance from the Program Director and clinical guidance and updates Corporate Nurse Manager (CNM) (or the designee by Deputy Chief of Operations). Job Description The Assistant Chief Engineer is responsible for supporting the plant’s equipment repairs and upkeep as required for the processing of linens within the plant. Reporting to the Chief Investment Officer, this position has the following key responsibilities: • Assist in reviewing monthly financial and operating reports to measure how property and portfolio performance aligns with budgets and business plans;, • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual reports detailing property and portfolio performance relative to budget, internal and external benchmarks, and established goals;, • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including Resmarks senior executives, asset managers, development partners, sales brokers, property management personnel, market consultants and other third parties;, • Conduct market research on current residential market conditions, prepare market charts, analyze pricing trends, and present findings to team members;, • Engage with developer partners and participate in property site visits;, • Participate in special projects as needed. Job DescriptionDescription: Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Controller will be responsible for oversight of all finance, accounting, and reporting activities. The Controller will lead all day-to-day finance operations of a budget of approximately $50 million and supervise a team of 4-6 staff members including functional responsibility over accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and the budgeting process. The Controller will ensure that JVS SoCal has the systems and procedures in place to timely and accurately report monthly and annual results in compliance with GAAP and to conduct its audits. The Controller will work closely with program leaders and their staff, not only to educate them regarding finance and accounting procedures but also to explore how the finance function can support program operations. This is an extraordinary opportunity for an experienced leader with seven to ten years of accounting and finance experience, ideally beginning in accounting and audit, followed by experience gathering, evaluating, presenting, and reporting financial information to executive teams and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have experience in a complex nonprofit that has multiple city, county, state, and federal programs. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements., • Maintain internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, and program budgets and actual expenditures., • Oversee the organization’s payroll function., • Coordinate process documentation project and ensure segregation of duties., • Coordinate financial audit activity and work with Director of Grants and Compliance on Program audits., • Consistently analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; monitor progress and changes and keep senior leadership abreast of JVS SoCal’s financial status., • Assist JVS SoCal’s leadership in the annual budgeting and planning process; administer and review all financial plans and compare to actual results with a view to identify, explain, and correct variances as appropriate., • Support the CFO in engaging the board’s audit and finance committees around issues and trends in financial operating models and delivery., • In conjunction with the Director of Grants and Compliance, oversee all financial, project/program and grants accounting., • Manage and track the performance of invested assets in keeping with policies and investment guidelines., • Leverage strengths of the current finance team members, help to clarify roles and responsibilities, and develop and implement training programs to maximize and reach optimal individual and organizational goals. This individual will be responsible for providing mid-year and year end evaluations as well as on-going verbal performance feedback., • Serve as system administrator for the NetSuite and Concur systems., • Provide leadership in strengthening internal communications with staff at all levels throughout the organization; create and promote a positive and supportive work environment.
