- Work with carriers to ensure shipments are dispatched, loaded, and emptied in a timely manner. - Ensure all logistics activities accurately reflect the actual times the work transpired. - Understand all customer requirements and implement plans to meet service expectations. - Be familiar with the geographic service areas and the industry-standard rates applicable to each. - Respond to all customer inquiries—both internal and external—regarding loads, services, or billing information. - Source new customers by developing leads and cold-calling potential clients. - Create, develop, and maintain strong business relationships with customers. - Continuously increase and maintain an understanding of current market conditions and business trends. - Manage and negotiate rates based on current market demand. - Thoroughly understand the complexities and rapid changes in the freight industry, and use this knowledge to better serve the existing client base. Requirements: The successful candidate will have 6months to 2+ years of experience in Sales, Supply Chain/Logistics, Customer Service, or Customer Relationship Management.
