About the Role Knighted is hiring for a brand new HR Generalist role on our Houston team. In this role, you'll play a key role in our HR department by managing end-to-end recruitment processes, ensuring compliance through regular audits, and administering our employee benefits programs. We're looking for someone with a strong understanding of HR practices, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple HR functions simultaneously while maintaining Knighted standards and values. Responsibilities • Serve as a trusted HR point of contact for employee questions related to policies, benefits, payroll, and workplace issues, • Support conflict resolution, employee concerns, and performance management processes, • Conduct and manage investigations into employee complaints and concerns; assess severity, determine root causes, and recommend appropriate next steps, • Collaborate with department managers to understand hiring needs and create accurate job descriptions, • Identify areas of improvement in HR processes and recommend changes to enhance efficiency and compliance, • Conduct benefits orientation sessions for new hires and open enrollment meetings for all employees, • Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems in compliance with applicable legal requirements, • Prepare HR reports, metrics, and ad hoc data requests as needed, • Assist with processing employee promotions, transfers, and terminations, • Complete and process unemployment claims and related documentation, • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, a related field, or equivalent experience, • 3+ years of experience in a Human Resources role, with a focus on talent acquisition, audits, and benefits administration, • Strong knowledge of HR laws and regulations, including EEO, ADA, FMLA, ACA, and ERISA, • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion, • Experience working in hospitality., • Proficiency in using HR analytics tools to track and report on key HR metrics, • Previous experience conducting HR audits and implementing process improvements, • Free medical benefits, with options for upgraded coverage, • Dental and vision coverage, • Flexible paid time off, • Commuter benefits, • 401(k) retirement plan Knighted is a proud equal opportunity employer and all employees and qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or any other characteristic protected by law.
