Job DescriptionDescription: POSITION SUMMARY: The primary purpose of the Pool Server is to provide friendly, attentive, and timely food and beverage service to all guests enjoying the pool area. This role plays a key part in enhancing the guest experience by ensuring prompt service, a welcoming attitude, and a strong knowledge of our food and beverage offerings. The Pool Server should strive to deliver consistently excellent service in every interaction, encouraging guest satisfaction and repeat visits. All responsibilities are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property standards, policies, and procedures. Top 5 Specific Job Functions: • Greet guests promptly and courteously, offering assistance and taking food and beverage orders., • Engage with guests to ensure their needs are met and inquire about their overall satisfaction with their visit., • Maintain a guest-first approach while performing all duties., • Possess a solid understanding of the food menu, beverage options (including non-alcoholic offerings), and delivery timing., • Deliver orders efficiently and accurately to guests in designated pool areas. Other Specific Job Functions: • Take full ownership of the guest experience, ensuring top-tier service from order to delivery., • Communicate guest requests clearly with food runners, bartenders, and kitchen staff., • Ensure cleanliness and proper presentation of all service areas and guest tables., • Assist with restocking items such as condiments, napkins, utensils, and menus throughout the shift., • Maintain complete knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and potential allergens., • Accurately input orders into the POS system and handle cash or card transactions as needed., • Support cocktail servers and bar staff during high-volume periods., • Uphold state and company safety standards for food handling and service., • Proactively anticipate guest needs and provide thoughtful recommendations., • Market and promote pool-specific food and beverage promotions or events., • Act as a brand ambassador by sharing accurate information about property venues, services, and specials., • Recognize returning guests and contribute to building a loyal customer base., • Perform other job-related duties as assigned RESPONSIBLE ALCOHOL MANAGEMENT: *When applicable: * • Be able to recognize signs of intoxication and report concerns to a manager., • Verify guest identification and ensure legal service of alcoholic beverages., • Follow all state and federal liquor laws, as well as company policies, even if not directly serving alcohol., • Cooperate with cocktail servers and bar staff in responsibly managing guest consumption. Requirements: REQUIRED: • Minimum 1 year of food or beverage service experience, • Minimum 1 year of experience in a customer service-oriented role, • High school diploma or equivalent, • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, • Able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, • Comfortable working outdoors in high heat (100°ree;F+) or inclement weather, • Ability to stand, walk, and carry trays for prolonged periods, • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds unassisted, • Team-oriented attitude and professional appearance, • Must be available to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, • Ability to handle transactions accurately and responsibly preferred, • Previous experience in a hotel, casino, or poolside hospitality setting WORK SCHEDULE/HOURS: • Varies. Based on business demands CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: • Health Card, • TAM Card, • Union Referral PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: • Must have the physical ability to access all areas of the facility; move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects; withstand prolonged standing, stretching, bending, kneeling, lifting, and carrying items weighing at least 50 lbs. without restriction., • Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping., • Physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure; work indoors and outdoors, as well as being exposed to hot/cold surfaces, steam, and wet floors., • Most work tasks are performed indoors; however, there are events where outdoor activities are required.
