Job Description Job Title: Maintenance Technician Job Description We are seeking a tenured Maintenance Technician with a well-rounded in electrical and hydraulic systems, complemented by previous manufacturing experience. While PLC troubleshooting is greatly valued, it is not a mandatory requirement. The ideal candidate should be familiar with PLCs, capable of troubleshooting hydraulic circuit boards, and diagnosing problems in the injection molding and blow molding processes. This role requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and involves rotating between three different machine groups. Candidates with leadership potential are highly valued as the company promotes from within. The position involves working with 480 voltage systems and 3-phase circuits. Responsibilities • Perform mechanical, electrical (480v), and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair on industrial or manufacturing equipment or machinery., • Maintain a positive attitude and resourceful nature, eager and willing to learn, with a strong problem-solving mentality., • Adapt and keep pace in a fast-paced environment., • Troubleshoot hydraulic circuit boards and diagnose issues with injection and blow molding processes., • Rotate between three different machine groups regularly., • Strong electrical troubleshooting and repair skills on 480v systems and 3-phase wiring., • Experience with controls (24v), signals, relays, and tracing circuits., • Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting hydraulics, reading prints, rebuilding cylinders, and cleaning/reinstalling valves., • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience., • Basic PLC knowledge., • 5+ years of manufacturing machine maintenance experience., • Preferred background in injection or blow mold machine maintenance., • Experience working with transformers, contactors, motors, and starters., • Ability to read and troubleshoot contactors and hydraulics., • Knowledge of electrical grounding, heating coils, and homes law., • Experience in wiring in parallel and reading ladder logic. Work Environment Fast-paced environment with opportunities for advancement. Work schedules include 3-day work weeks with every other weekend off. Shifts are either Wednesday to Friday (potentially Saturday) or Sunday to Tuesday. Opportunities for growth are available, with a preference for promoting from within. Shift options include 3rd shift with a $2 differential and 1st shift from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Antonio, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
