Job Description Job Title: Hydraulic Assembler Job Description The Hydraulic Assembler builds and processes hydraulic and related aerospace components in accordance with detailed specifications and Boeing standards. This role performs hands-on assembly, sealing, electrical bonding, and part marking while maintaining strict safety, quality, and productivity requirements. The position requires strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to read and follow drawings and procedures, and a commitment to continuous learning and teamwork. Responsibilities • Process aerospace hydraulic products with minimal supervision while following all applicable Boeing specifications and internal procedures., • Alodine aluminum parts in accordance with BAC 5719 and obtain required quality approvals., • Identify, inspect, clean, lubricate, and install O-rings and back-up rings per BAC 5506., • Perform electrical bonding procedures in accordance with BAC 5117., • Install safety devices such as cotter pins, rivets, and lock wire per BAC 5018., • Perform general sealing procedures per BAC 5000 and apply torque seal per BAC 5001-6., • Inspect and install fittings, hoses, and tubing per BAC 5001-6, -7, and -10., • Use the Boeing portal and REDARS effectively to access BACs, drawings, and related documentation., • Part mark and overcoat components per BAC 5307 and accurately input and edit data entries into part mark machines., • Handle, move, and process parts in accordance with D6-5000 and ensure all traceability requirements are met., • Maintain 6S and lean manufacturing best practices to support an organized and efficient work area., • Use required personal protective equipment, follow all safety instructions, and verify that equipment guards and safety switches are in place and functioning., • Select and use correct tooling, including torque wrenches, impact drills, and hand tools, for all assembly tasks., • Interpret and properly document information on Boeing “P” copies and “Pic sheets” and meet all documented inspection requirements, including QA torque witness and sealant application., • Perform normal repair and basic maintenance of equipment used in daily work., • Handle and dispose of hazardous materials and waste in compliance with hazmat training and procedures., • Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of obstructions at all times., • Meet established daily productivity and delivery standards while maintaining high quality., • Follow job priority requirements as directed by leadership and communicate production delays or issues to appropriate supervision., • Use the ERP system to document work movement, status, and completion accurately and in a timely manner., • Support all team members to achieve company, departmental, and personal goals and objectives., • Participate in team and company meetings and contribute to a positive, collaborative work environment., • Demonstrate and role model proper work ethics, professional behavior, hygiene, and appropriate dress., • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and comfort working with mechanical components, nuts, fittings, hoses, and tubing., • Ability to use hand tools, including torque wrenches, impact drills, locking pliers, and other common assembly tools., • Ability to read, understand, and follow specifications and drawings; for Level 2, ability to read engineering drawings is required., • High manual dexterity and fine motor skills for precise assembly and installation of small components and safety devices., • Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow detailed procedures and ensure compliance with strict quality standards., • Ability to retain knowledge from on-the-job training and apply it consistently to daily work., • Experience or aptitude in using torque tools and following torque requirements., • Comfort working with ERP systems or similar software to document work movement and status., • Ability to follow safety procedures, use required personal protective equipment, and work safely around hazardous materials., • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, quality personnel, and peers., • For Level 2: A minimum of 6 months of experience relevant to HBU (Hydraulic Booster Unit) assembly work., • For Level 2: Ability to provide on-the-job training or mentoring to less experienced assemblers., • Relevant prior experience in hydraulic assembly, aerospace assembly, or similar mechanical assembly is a plus., • Orion QA certification per BSS 7600, 7604, 7606, 7611, 7617, and 7691 with proven experience performing HBU assembly work is strongly preferred for higher-level responsibilities., • Fuel boost pump proficiency is a plus., • Experience in auto mechanics is highly beneficial and aligns well with the mechanical nature of the work., • Ability and willingness to train and eventually serve as a mentor to other team members is valued., • Hazmat training or experience handling and disposing of hazardous materials and waste is an advantage., • Familiarity with Boeing portal and REDARS, or similar aerospace documentation systems, is beneficial. Work Environment This role is based in a world-class aerospace manufacturing facility that operates as both a high-performing business and a social enterprise. The environment emphasizes safety, quality, and lean manufacturing, with strong 6S practices and organized workstations. You will work hands-on with mechanical and hydraulic components using tools such as impact drills, torque wrenches, locking pliers, and other hand tools, as well as ERP systems, Boeing portal, and REDARS for documentation and technical data. The facility handles hazardous materials, and employees follow strict hazmat, safety, and PPE requirements, including safety glasses, gloves, aprons, and hearing protection. Multiple shifts are available: a day shift from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, an afternoon/evening shift from 3:25 p.m. to 1:55 a.m. Monday through Thursday, and a weekend shift from 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Friday through Sunday, with initial training on day shift for approximately two weeks. Professional appearance and appropriate work attire are expected, along with good hygiene and adherence to all safety and shop-floor standards. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
