Job DescriptionJob Title: 1st Shift Production Worker Job Description This role supports a production facility that manufactures grout and concrete by performing general production tasks, operating machinery, and handling materials. You will work on the 1st shift, ensuring products meet quality standards, equipment operates safely, and materials move efficiently through the production process. The position is long term and offers the opportunity to be cross-trained in multiple departments. Responsibilities • Measure and inspect products for defects and promptly report any issues to supervisors., • Operate production machinery safely and efficiently in accordance with company guidelines and procedures., • Load, unload, and transport raw materials and finished products using a forklift., • Perform general production and general labor tasks as assigned to support daily manufacturing operations., • Follow all safety regulations, workplace procedures, and quality standards at all times., • Use basic math and measuring skills to read weights and interpret chemical or material measurements accurately., • Assist with maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area., • Participate in cross-training and work in multiple departments as needed to support production demands., • Work overtime as needed to meet production schedules and customer requirements.Essential Skills, • Experience working in a general production, manufacturing, or industrial environment., • Ability to operate machinery safely and follow written and verbal instructions., • Proven experience operating a forklift with at least 3+ months of forklift use., • Basic math skills and the ability to measure and read weights and chemical or material information accurately., • Ability to regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds., • Comfort working in a loud, dusty, and industrial environment., • Reliability and willingness to work overtime as needed., • Ability to follow safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Willingness to be cross-trained and work in multiple departments as business needs change., • Attention to detail when inspecting products for defects and recording measurements., • Strong work ethic and ability to perform physically demanding tasks throughout the shift., • Comfort working with grout, concrete, and related industrial materials., • Ability to work effectively as part of a production team and communicate issues to supervisors in a timely manner.Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is based in a loud, dusty, and industrial production facility that manufactures grout and concrete. The primary schedule for this position is 1st shift, Monday through Friday, from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Overtime may be required based on production needs. Work involves standing, lifting, moving materials, and operating machinery and forklifts throughout the shift. Steel-toed shoes are required, and personal protective equipment such as hard hats, safety glasses, and respiratory masks is provided. The environment is fast-paced and safety-focused, with clear procedures and guidelines to ensure safe and efficient operations. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of La Mirada, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
