Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: Interventional Radiology Technologist, • Discipline: Allied Health Professional, • Start Date: 05/04/2026, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 40 hours per week, • Shift: 8 hours, days, • Employment Type: Travel Travel Interventional Radiology Technologist (IR Tech) Location: Providence Saint John’s Health Center, Santa Monica, CA 90404 Duration: 13 Weeks, with potential for extension Shift: Day Shift – 5x8s (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM) Employment Type: Travel / Contract Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist to join a high-volume IR department within a Magnet-designated acute care hospital. This role involves supporting advanced image-guided vascular and non-vascular procedures in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment using state-of-the-art imaging systems. The IR Tech will work closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to perform complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures while maintaining strict sterile technique and patient safety standards. Key Responsibilities • Assist with interventional radiology and special procedures, • Perform scrub, prep, and sterile field maintenance during procedures, • Set up and operate imaging equipment including fluoroscopy and ultrasound, • Assist with vascular access procedures, including ports and central lines, • Support advanced procedures such as:, • Embolization and thrombolysis, • TIPS procedures, • Dialysis graft interventions, • Stent and catheter placements, • Biliary, nephrostomy, and GI tube procedures, • Maintain and prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies, • Ensure proper documentation in EPIC EMR, • Participate in on-call rotation for emergency IR coverageCall Requirements, • 1 weekday call shift per week (4:00 PM – 7:00 AM), • 1 three-day weekend call per month (Fri–Sun), • Weekend availability requiredRequired Qualifications, • Minimum 2 years of IR experience, • Active ARRT (R) certification, • Active California State License (required), • BLS certification (AHA required), • Strong experience in interventional and special procedures, • Ability to work independently in high-acuity settingsPreferred Skills, • Experience with advanced IR procedures (e.g., TIPS, embolization, thrombectomy), • Ultrasound-guided vascular access experience, • Familiarity with EPIC charting system, • Experience in teaching or community hospital settingsFacility Overview, • 377-bed Magnet-designated acute care hospital, • Highly specialized Interventional Radiology department, • Advanced imaging systems including Philips OmniDiagnost Eleva & Allura FD20, • EPIC EMR system, • Free parking available, • Flexible scrub color policyWhy This Opportunity?, • Work at a top-tier Magnet hospital in Santa Monica, • Gain exposure to advanced, high-acuity IR procedures, • Stable day shift schedule with structured call rotation, • Excellent opportunity for experienced IR technologists seeking high-level clinical growth • Weekly pay, • Medical benefits
