About the Role: We’re looking for a sharp, culturally fluent Copywriter to join our HangarFour team. This role is for someone who can move seamlessly between beauty, tech, travel, B2B and B2C, and can flex between a myriad of voices, from a CTO at a Fortune500 to quippy Instagram Reels copy for an up-and-coming beauty brand. If you’re equal parts storyteller, strategist, and terminally online, and you love writing work that shows up in feeds, inboxes, on websites, and campaigns, this might be the role for you. What You’ll Do • Develop concepts and messaging for campaigns spanning beauty, technology, and B2B + B2C clients, • Write clear, compelling, and on-brand copy across platforms, with a strong focus on social-first content (organic + paid), • Craft everything from headlines, captions, and scripts to longer-form copy like manifestos, websites, and brand narratives, • Collaborate closely with Art Directors, Creative Strategists, and Account teams to bring ideas to life, • Translate complex ideas into approachable, engaging language—especially for tech and B2B audiences, • Adapt tone and voice across different brands while maintaining consistency and clarity, • Optimize copy for platform nuances, audience behavior, and performance goals, • Participate in brainstorms, presentations, and creative reviews What We’re Looking For • 3–5 years of copywriting experience, ideally within an agency or similar fast-paced environment, • A portfolio that shows range—beauty, tech, B2B, and social-first work are a must, • Deep understanding of social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, etc.) and how copy performs differently on each, • Ability to write for both consumers and business audiences with confidence and nuance, • Strong conceptual thinking paired with exceptional writing and editing skills, • Comfort working across multiple clients and deadlines without losing craft or attention to detail, • Collaborative mindset with the confidence to share ideas and take feedback Bonus Points If You… • Have experience writing paid social, video scripts, or influencer content, • Understand SEO or performance metrics and how they inform copy, • Can jump from witty and playful to smart and authoritative without missing a beat, • Have start-up Experience: Is HangarFour a start-up? No. However, we are a small, scrappy, nimble team that puts title and ego aside when it comes to getting the job done.
