Job Description Position Title: Housekeeper/Custodian I Department: Housekeeping Reports To: Supervisor of Housekeeping POSITION SUMMARY Responsible for the overall cleanliness and order of the total facility. Orders and maintains a thorough inventory of housekeeping items, such as linens and cleaning agents. Stocks linen supply room when deliveries arrive and provides receipts and other documentation to the Fiscal Office., • Fills all authorized material requisitions for all programs, to be ordered and/or re-ordered, and keeps own record or items ordered., • Keeps records of items disbursed and advises Purchasing Agent accordingly., • Empties all office, including conference and other rooms, and restrooms, waste receptacles, including emptying and replacing recycled paper bags and disposes of rubbish in bins provided., • Cleans assigned windows outside and inside once each month., • Cleans staff refrigerators every Friday., • Strips and waxes kitchen every Sunday., • Fills housekeeping requests at other facilities, as assigned.
