The Premiere Group is seeking an experienced and systems-minded Accounting Operations Manager to lead the efficiency and integrity of our financial processes across a diverse portfolio of companies. This pivotal role is responsible for the overall operational management of core accounting functions, focusing on systems optimization, team support, and continuous process improvement. The ideal candidate must be GAAP qualified and capable of providing hands-on transactional backup when needed. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesOperational Management & Leadership • Manage and mentor the Accounting Systems Coordinator and AP Accountant, overseeing their transactional workflows to ensure accurate and timely support of the financial process., • Lead the development and implementation of a cohesive financial systems structure across all portfolio companies, ensuring alignment with organizational goals., • Serve as the primary technical backup for transactional accounting duties (e.g., A/P, journal entries, complex reconciliations) as necessary to support the team during peak periods or transitions.Process Design & Integrity, • Collaborate with Accounting leadership on implementation and standardization of financial processes across all portfolio companies (including but not limited to month-end close, audit preparation, etc), • Monitor, analyze, and refine credit card, AP & close procedures continuously to improve efficiency, accuracy, and reduce financial risk.Systems, Training & Improvement, • Oversee system-related projects (e.g., software upgrades, data migration, and system implementation), ensuring alignment with internal timelines and business objectives., • Develop and deliver comprehensive training and onboarding programs for new accounting team members on financial systems and standardized processes., • Create and maintain manuals, guides, and documentation to ensure consistent understanding and utilization of tools and best practices.Cross-Functional Support, • Serve as the liaison between Finance, IT, and accounting teams during integrations, system upgrades, and new entity onboarding., • Be available to leadership and the broader accounting team to provide GAAP-qualified guidance and support on complex accounting projects.Qualifications, • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required., • Experience: 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or financial systems integration, with at least 2 years in a managerial role with direct reports., • Technical Acumen: Proficiency in GAAP accounting principles is mandatory. Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, Sage, Ramp, and other similar platforms, and the proven ability to optimize system usage., • Health Coverage: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans.
